-Not a lot.
Involved in care throughout. Didn't get discharge even though I'm not a risk to myself.
Most staff were exceptionally caring, kind and very supportive. I have felt very safe and cared for although I am quite poorly. I have however had to complain regarding one bank nurse for inappropriate comments, but this does not deflect how outstanding the rest of the staff are they are fab.
Lack of milk needs improving.
Veggie options at meal times are very poor or non-existant. And corridor rooms 1-4 is extremely cold at night.
More activities. People to talk to me more not anybody shouting to loud or slamming doors just close doors quietly.
The best thing about my care today was talking to one of the medical team about how I feel, I have played dominoes, done a cross word and some maths. I get upset when someone cries.
I found Lynne and I banded straight away, any questions were answered lovely and always said nice things, i.e you can get better, you are a great girl, so uplifting. Lorness and Charity and Mila are the only other doing that. But I found the care great, food and you can be you. Lynne in particular I found a very strong bind as she took no attitude and always kind about it - where of hers can be hard cre.
Harbour Ward food is good. Pool table needs some work. Can smoke as much as you like. Definitely problems with turnover off staff, info gets lost, very hard to actually see someone, they only really do it when it suits them so not great in terms of respect.
'Lovely day for a Guinness'
Good listeners, always friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much bother.
Detainment is not healthy for any mind, specific cases need this kind of care. Doctors are extremely unhelpful. Only nurses seem to wait to help but they have 0 power to help us causing major frustration.
Thank you for your feedback. To detain someone under the Mental Health Act is carefully considered and is subject to a legal framework. Some patients may require this for a period but there is a legal process of appeal which staff are careful to explain. Independent Advocates are available to support patients during their detention.
