The Vine Medical Centre

The overall questions and stars in this review do not adequately reflect the experience and should be changed. The overall reviews for this medical centre are good but they mostly come from 2019 (pre-Covid) and do not reflect the most recent reality. The staff are certainly competent and polite. However, the biggest problem with this place are TIMELY APPOINTMENTS. We had to visit the GP 5 times in the last year because our little children were not well. We have always arrived ahead of time but we have NEVER been seen on time. During our first appointment we had to wait to see a doctor for 30 minutes. The second time it was 45 minutes. Last three times it was 1h! This is totally unacceptable. This is NOT a busy place if you compare it with London Boroughs. We have previously lived in different places in London and, once appointment was given for a specific time, the average waiting time was 5 minutes. Moreover, people are asked to wait in a closed waiting room where unwell people are coughing and sneezing, and the reception does not monitor whether the windows are closed or open (most of the time they are closed every single time we are there).

Same day only appointments are very disruptive to people in full time work or education, and mean you have to stay home on the chance you might get an appointment. In the event you can't, you Ave unnecessarily disrupted work The doctor we saw was brilliant

All staff are helpful, caring and approachable. I could not wish for better care. A beacon for the NHS. Thank you all sincerely

Quite exceptional care given to my elderly mother, who has always been anxious about going to the doctor and is always reluctant to go. The kind care and attention that she told me she received from Dr Sarah Murray was quite exceptional.

We have had consistently professional, caring, kind and always helpful care from all staff at this surgery. From being single through marriage and now having teenage children, one of which was premature and has had a lot of care – All the staff have always wanted to help and resolve any concerns or worries as quickly as possible. Even if it is due to my disorganisation with prescriptions or appointments they are always wanting to help resolve the situation quickly. They really are a unique surgery and we are lucky to have them in Molesey. A big thank you, you are very much appreciated and it makes such a difference!

we have been here many times over the last 5 months as my husband has tongue cancer, every part of his case at this practice has been absolutely wonderful. the nurses who change his dressings, the phlebotomist, the reception and the doctors through a traumatic time they have been fantastic fitting him in extra appointments and care over and above what you can dream of - THANK YOU1

All the permanent doctors I've seen over the years are outstanding. My GP is Dr Surman but you can see any doctor at the practice. A great innovation is the new online booking service. If you need a routine appointment is now so much easier to get one without phoning up. If you need a repeat prescription you can easily arrange it through the same system ... it is very easy and simple to use. If you need an emergency appointment the best thing is to be at the surgery at 8.30 am when it opens. Having said that we were able to get a same day appointment with Dr Surman while phoning later in rhe day, only last week. We've been with Vine since 1999 and the doctors there have diagnosed some chronic and lifelong conditions and continue to help us to manage them. The nurses and receptionists are so friendly and professional too.
