I was told I need to speak to a doctor for my Ultra-sound result and repeat prescription and I need to call at 8.30am for the same day appointment. However I called from 8.30 to 8.42am but no one there to pick up the calls. Finally I got through at 8.43am but I was No.10 in the queue. I was able to speak to someone at reception at 8.52am but I was told I am able to make an appointment and I need get online for my repeat prescription. After I was sent off I got online but there was no repeat prescription available for me. What a misleading instruction. What a service for a full-timing working patient! I need to take time off from work for a simple treatment but I cannot get it. Very disappointed! This GP surgery is strongly NOT recommended!

I’m physically disabled, have hundreds of seizures, every day, leaving me unconscious, the majority of every 24 hour period, I am Mute, the majority of the time. I have never had, an MRI to discover, Why I can no longer physically walk, and am so weak, and disabled, because I have convulsions, and so, when I’m hospital, I get treated, like a criminal, frequently, because many staff, have no patience, and can’t cope, with the reality, of me constantly passing out, instead of speaking, to them. As if my disability, is my fault. The G.P surgery, is continuing, such treatment. They continually insist, I call them, talk to them, when I physically cannot! I’m so chronically ill, I am bed bound, as I recover, I manage to crawl, to my door a few metres, each week. I pass out, as I do. I live entirely alone. I only have carers who come about 15 minutes a day, as I am usually passed out. They don’t complete my care plan. I ask the care agency, to communicate, just how disabled, I am, but still, the G.P, demands we have a conversation, saying texting isn’t enough! I try explaining this, to the G.P via text. I may manage, 3 minutes on the phone, once each 3 months between, passing out, with slurred speech and stuttering. Still I am not treated, as someone in extreme need, instead what I say, is ignored! I feel this is discrimination! They don’t even, use my correct name. They refer to me, with my mothers title, over and over. I feel treated like I am, of no consequence, by thirst Drs. After leaving as patient, from a previous surgery, who also, the majority of Drs wouldn’t, take my case, seriously! Initially, I had hope, when on a rare, day I could speak. I talked to one friendly receptionist! Therefore, my conclusion is! They discriminate against disability! So ironic, being a G.P surgery! They only help you, if you’re well enough! Not the purpose, of a G.P surgery! Sad they Don’t listen to their patients, and treat some of us, this way.

High quality GP's and desk staff. All prepared to go the extra mile to resolve a health problem or admin issue. Like all surgeries getting an appt with a preferred doctor at a future date is an issue, but generally possible to get an appt or at least a phone call on same day. There can be a wait past appointment time, but that is because they don't cut corners with patient being seen - which is fine by me.

I visited surgery today to get my home address updated in the NHS records, owing to shifting of house and I met Davinder at the reception today. It was a very positive experience, she was not only helpful to handle my issue and sort it, but also helped me with the process of repeat prescription, required knowledge and guidance on the process and surgery as I am relatively new to the area. Her smile and caring attitude is what I needed as I was struggling to understand why was it not working. Thank you Davinder and thank you Broad Lane Surgery for your support and services.

I recently had an accident and broke my arm. I received excellent and supportive care from all of the Surgery staff and from all the associated NHS departments eg fracture clinic, Physiotherapy and home help. I can’t thank the Surgery and Dr Adhikari enough for the care I have received. You are all first class. Thank you again. Eileen Jones

My husband and I have both had need to use the surgery recently (blood tests, telephone consultations)and have been so impressed by the efficiency and promptness of dealing with our varied issues. The nurse is the most skilled at giving injections that I have ever come across, and the availability of telephone consultations from 7 am is incredibly helpful. I cannot recommend this surgery highly enough.

I’m quite new to the surgery and have been so impressed. I’ve had excellent care from both Dr Lee and Dr Adhikari, and Tracy on reception recently went above and beyond to help me find some missing test results. She made me feel heard and important and was extremely reassuring. I’m very happy to have moved close to this surgery.

Dr Rashid was professional and knowledgeable. More importantly, she cares about the patients. She asked questions about the conditions and concerns. She set up investigation/check ups such as blood tests, x-rays. She made her decision based on data and patient situation. She is willing to see me multiple times for various concerns from the test results. I am glad that I switched to Broad Lane GP a few years ago. The GPs here are excellent!
