My mum had a knee replacement and the doctors and nurses have done a brilliant job looking after her afterwards from changing dressings to prescribing antibiotics. All morning online requests have been answered promptly and phone calls during the day have been dealt with too. Brilliant service!

I have recently had minor surgery on my head. The procedure was explained clearly beforehand and throughout the operation. The Dr was very gentle and I had no discomfort during or afterwards. Thank you

I have had a few encounters with the surgery in 2017 and 2018, though not found time to offer feedback until now. I felt welcome by the Reception team upon registration. I remember being received by Juliet on a couple of occasions and she was so helpful. Whilst in the waiting room, I could not help notice how she handled the early morning queue of patients so efficiently and respectfully. Special thanks also to the nursing staff. Belinda is so prompt and pleasant with blood tests. Mary Stephens was very encouraging and sensitive when undertaking cervical smear. Dr Amy Bunn has seen me with timely sensitive caring manner every time. I'm really thankful for the NHS and for all these positive encounters with The Red Practice, Walton on Thames.

I've had only positive encounters with The Red Practice during the last year, 2018. Reception staff are very patient, polite and considerate, both on the telephone and in person at front desk. Appointments with nursing staff and doctors have been timely and all have been caring and helpful. I'm really thankful.

Phoned up with a query as my temperature was raging (39.4C); lovely reception staff booked me an appointment for the same day. Doc so concerned that she booked me a follow up after the weekend. Luckily the antiboitics took hold and I was much improved and so could cancel the second appointment.

Response from the doctor - Thank you for taking the time to inform of of your positive experience. Claire Laing Interim Practice Manager

I consider myself fortunate to be a patient of Red practice. Excellent doctors. Very good nurses. Helpful receptionists. When I need repeat prescriptions they are provided swiftly. In short a very good practice which is well managed.

When phoning in the morning for an appointment it has taken up to an hour or more before the call is answered. Most of the Receptionists are polite and helpful but there are one or two who show their stress at this time and are somewhat short tempered. We patients are under stress too and often feeling very unwell. Mostly we do not deserve the person at the other end to be short with us. Each party should give a little more thought towards each other to help alleviate some of the angst.

The red practice surgery is probably the best one I’ve ever been to since I was a young child. The reception staff have always been really helpful and I find I never have to wait that long to make an appointment. The two doctors I see, Dr. Tilly and Dr. da Silva are fantastic - knowledgable, thorough and welcoming and the wait time is always so short, even on busy days. I’m so happy I am a patient at this surgery. My only criticism would be a few of the community midwives that practice out of the clinic (I appreciate they are under ‘st Peter’s hospital’ vs Clinic staff so the practice probably can’t do much about this) I didn’t get as much information from them as I was expecting during my pregnancy and some of the appointments felt like ‘tick box’ exercises and a little impersonal so you felt like you didn’t get much back when asking questions. Worth noting in case there is the ability to feed this back to them via the practice.
