Thameside Medical Practice

Thameside Medical Practice is a great practice and we, as a family, couldn’t feel more confident in the service we receive. The doctors are all excellent and it’s a pleasure to deal with all the staff at the surgery. We have been with the practice for many years and feel that this is the best GP surgery we’ve ever had - it’s actually an even better practice now than it used to be. We can’t recommend Thameside highly enough. If you need medical help, you simply complete an online form and send it knowing that one of the doctors will review it within a short time and contact you to either come in for an appointment or, normally if it’s an ongoing issue, send a prescription to a local pharmacy. It’s about the only example of technology making modern life easier - other organisations have a lot to learn.

Highly recommend this surgery practice. Everyone is super helpful and kind. In particular Dr Lamond and Dr Verma are excellent physicians - hugely knowledgable but more importantly really patient and kind. I completely trust their judgment.

My experience of the surgery is that the staff are all proficient and helpful with what they do - the nurses, receptionists, the pharmacist and the doctors.

I have been with this practice for 16 years and the care received by my family has always been excellent. I hear about people struggling to see their GP or get the help they need, but we have never experienced any problems at Thameside. Doctors, nurses and receptionists have always been friendly and very helpful. We are moving out of the area and can only hope our new practice is as good.

As a new patient to the practise, I have been grateful for both the efficiency and care given by the nurse and Doctor I have seen. It is the best I have received in many years (attentive receptionists included) - in getting calls backs, appointments and follow up communication via text, and I am very grateful - thank you.

I recently moved to Teddington from Wales and I have been very impressed with the service from Thameside Medical Practice. As soon as I registered I was called for full blood tests, a breast check and bowel screening. I take medication for a thyroid issue, and the practice set up a very convenient repeat prescription service with my chosen pharmacy. I initially ran out of medication as I didn’t realise I had to have blood tests before the prescription could be issued, but the receptionist was very helpful, and secured me an emergency script. Today I saw Dr Verma at the skin clinic. He quickly put my mind at rest that everything was in order and it was very easy to set up an appointment to check out my mole with a wait of only 4 weeks. I find the appointment and online communication system very easy and effective, and I’m not the most technical person. I would like to thank all the team at Thameside for their care so far, and I would recommend the practice to anyone new to Teddington.

The online triage system works perfectly for me. I imagine some less technology-savvy oatients might need help in learning how to use it for the first time, but I recommend it to all GP surgeries.

I reported my symptoms this morning, the doctor called me back and did some phone triage. Then I went into the surgery quickly afterwards.
