As a long-term patient of Dr. Egerton for 2 decades, I have consistently felt valued and treated with respect, as well as listened to and subsequently well-informed by him. His progressive practice and insight have provided reassurance, support and guidance at every juncture. I cannot praise him enough. His professional yet human-centred sense of understanding, coupled with an approach to patients which empowers, is a rare and wondrous thing! I remain grateful for all his assistance. His practice staff also do all they can to help. There are also many reception staff who do their utmost to assist and thus deserve praise and thanks for their kindness. W.S.

Don’t recommend this gp at all. Never can reach them by phone. Dealing with patients like their owe them something. Strange system of walk in at 11. Gonna change GP

Honestly. If you’re thinking of registering here. Save your time and don’t bother. They don’t care about the patients one bit. They have several reception staff all working at the same time but they don’t bother even looking up when you walk in to check in for your appointment. The booking an appointment process is... interesting. You all have to call at 8am to get an appointment so the phone is jammed from 8am onwards. It takes 40-50 callbacks to the surgery before you get through and then you’re put on hold and in a queue. I’ve never been seen on time. Recently I had a vital smear test booked in by my GP and on the day of my appointment when I tried to find out how much longer I would have to wait (after 35 minutes) the receptionist was rude (I’ve noticed she has trouble looking anyone in the eye at all times) and after my enquiry she said I’ll put you down as left.. I hadn’t left I was standing in front of her. I left a complaint and the manager David rang me back and once I had explained everything all he said ‘I apologise’. Right, so me missing an important health check due to the incompetence of the staff and their lack of training is okay then. I’m going to escalate my complaint and change my surgery ASAP. Appalling avoid at all costs.

I can't rate this practice highly enough - if you need an appointment in a hurry you can always get one just by following their guidelines (phone at 8am). I've never waited more than 20 mins after my appointment time to be seen and usually it's only 5 or 10 minutes which is amazing for a busy nhs practice. They're all totally professional and reception are always friendly and helpful.

Constantly late for appointments, hardly have any appointments available so you have to sit and wait for hours to be seen, some of the Gp's bedside manner is much to be desired. you have maybe 2 good doctors in a massive practice. they have too many patients and are clearly unable to care for them. I have been with them a year and have finally decided I have to leave. It takes me two or three appointments before they get the correct diagnosis, I am never happy with their level of care.

I'd recommend 100% - we are lucky to have this surgery and it's staff. You couldn't want more from a GP's surgery.
