My daughter had a (recurrently) dislocated shoulder and we were triaged very quickly, and it was reduced within 30 minutes of registering. Staff were kind and reassuring with her. Thank you all

I waited for hours, with a suspected fracture, got moved from AE to minor injuries, then back to AE. Didn’t see a nurse, doctor or get a x-ray. Left after 5 hours, when told we would need to wait another 2 hours.

Most recent experience of Coventry Hospital is out patient UROLOGY. The SHO had not read my notes so it was a difficult encounter. In his letter to my Dr he managed to read my notes and give a just passable account of my appt, ie zero decided after the patient had done 70 miles return trip to the hospital. I have been neglected since and hope to see the consultant in May. Failing this I will have to go private again to get some help.

Although dept is not big enough for demand, I was looked after and treated accordingly in the spaces I was allocated.
There are obvious staff shortages and made me wonder if volunteers were allowed to help with simple things like filling up glove boxes, making patients tea etc. Putting sheets on trolleys, restocking areas.
Suggested improvements
The sister in charge of treatments and taking bloods could not see due to glasses or lights, and was very slow or tired.
I wanted to help. There is clearly a lot of work to do.

We were booked in at A&E before minor injuries unit opened so that we were seen promptly.
