What an amazing hospital, lovely staff, quick waiting times..- I’m so so happy the A&E here is back open again..
The ambulance staff were absolutely wonderful and very reassuring. Very professional too they were very kind and thoughtful.
The hospital staff in A&E were excellent. They very quickly dealt with admission and their duties were carried out excellently.
The only problem was that due to my Polymyalgia I was very uncomfortable and left for 5 hours without seeing a doctor to assess
my extreme difficulty breathing and it was very frightening.
I was cold and there wasn’t a blanket anywhere. my poor husband sat on a little chair whilst we awaited the doctor. The doctor who did attend was excellent and very helpful.
Waited all night from 10pm in a&e. Seen by 2 nurses but not told until 8am when seen by a doctor and told I needed a CT scan.
Went to minor Injuries and was seen by a student Dr (Jenna) and then the consultant, who spent a long time checking my leg and diagnosed a DVT and took me personally in a wheel chair to get an ultrasound scan.
I fortunately I never got her name, visit day was 22.03.23 am.Please pass on my utmost thanks for being so thorough and finding the problem.
Thank you so much for such a quick response.
Then saw Harriet Meakin , Haematology dept.who prescribed blood thinners and explained the condition in some detail.
All sorted in the same day.Really great staff all round from both the Minor injuries reception , to the minor injuries Dr to the consultant in Haematology.
Thank you so very much.
Well done Warwick Hospital.
I was there with my daughter
The doctors and nurses who cared for my daughter went above and beyond to ensure she was cared for quickly and efficiently. They were empathetic and understanding of her fears and understood the needs of a teenager who was scared and in pain.
Appointment was on time and conducted in a good manner
On entry to A&E observation one of the nurses was very reluctant to give pain relief even though unbearable pain was why I was there. My partner heard comments being made about me outside of the bay.
When we finally got to see a doctor he was quite dismissive and not keen on further in estimation even though he was brought fully up to date with my history (although understanding the department was crazy busy when we were there). The nurse who gave me medicine was very kind and compassionate to my situation.
Absolutely terrible care. Spent 8 hours waiting to be told my daughter who is was in pain to go home as there was nothing wrong. I said I wasn’t going to leave until she was given an ultrasound scan on her abdomen. Good job I did she has a 5.5cm cyst on her ovaries. Still no follow up been made after numerous chases.
Triage nurse extremely rude to me and my daughter that day and a lot of people were very upset that day over her words and treatment.
