while l found your hospital and staff treatment of the highest quality, and l find your staff or watch them run off their feet. I have attended your MDU dept twice on both occasions my treatment did not start until at least 1 hour after l was placed in the treatment chair. L appreciate your staff are very busy as l watch them run off their there feet.
A very very positive experience at this hospital. The staff have been caring, welcoming and made me feel safe and understood
The nurses in the day unit on my last visit were very professional and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. More so than on previous visits, which made the whole experience much better.
Unfortunately, there was a delay in the make up of my Chemotherapy, which meant I had to wait an hour and half for treatment. This made a very long day even longer. I was not given a reason why this was the case, but as this has not been the first time, was wondering if the pharmacy needed more staff.
On Arrival at the Hospital was met by a very friendly, helpful receptionist who directed us to the Bud Flanagan ambulatory care unit. Once on the ward, the care was Amazing, efficient and the staff were extremely nice. The Doctor was patient, understanding and explained everything thoroughly and calmly. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Afterward even giving blood was an almost pleasant experience. A difficult situation was made much more bearable.
The treatment I received today was very good the staff understood that I was nervous and I was treated well. My only suggestion would be that the waiting area in the corridor is not very comfortable and if you have a long wait it would be better to have a seated area elsewhere with maybe some magazines etc to look through.
I was asked quite a few questions about my overall health today and if I had a question it was efficiently and effectively answered.
I was also given a lot of information about my impending operation but it all came written down as well so I can refresh my mind about it later.
Please remove a couple of meters from the wall where you turn down the exit of the car park - at present this seems to have been pointlessly built where folks (I notice some have) can scrape the sides of their cars - not a good end to a cancer treatment. Traffic flow into the busy car park probably hasn't been very well thought out and it might have been better to make the current exit the entrance - though that would probably be a bit messy to do retrospectively.
The smiling welcome at radiotherapy reception and the friendly efficiency of the radiotherapists, not least their sense of humour, made 37 daily treatments (almost) a pleasure.
Thank you
Excellent visit to the clinic yesterday. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the doctor gave me a clear explanation of where I am with my leukaemia.
I came away feeling that I am in very good hands.
I was given the utmost care and concern by the Sister who help to admit and pre-assist my upcoming admission for DCIS at Sutton. Extremely courteous, considerate and thorough.
The doctors are approachable and available. That they possess the necessary skill and experience is a “given”. They never want in this regard. They are thoughtful and analytical and share their thinking with their patients even where the conclusion may be some way off.
The nursing staff provide a more than compatible support to the doctors; they are just great at what they do - utterly competent and unfailingly jolly in demeanour and approach. If asked, they tell you that RMH is a great place to work. Everyone seems happy and they all seem to get on - including those performing non-medical ward services, such as catering and other softer services.
Were it not for circumstances, it’s a great place to be.
