fabulous care
I want to express my gratitude for the kind and yet professional way I have been treated.
Every time I had been treated with respect and compation, and explained on my understanding about what I needed to know.
Not to forget that, I am happy with the results
The whole experience I have received from SALT has been appalling.
My son has not been fully assessed interaction of 5 mins is not an assessment. Not one person has showed me as a parent how to get my sone talking more or even investigated if he has tounge tie or needs help with mouth muscles strengthening.
I was contacted via a text from a random number not even stating they were fro NHS SALT.
The therapist who has seen my son twice has 1st said Gestalt learner which is totally wrong then decided to go forward with AAC and sign language with no really assessment or discussion with parent if they are happy
My son has a voice and has some words why on earth are we not being shown how to develop their voice further.
I'm utterly appalled by this service and have never felt so alone alon how to help my son unless I pay private which I do kot have tye funds for.
I have absolutely loved my sessions with [name removed]! She was the most compassionate and kind professional I’ve had in a while so really appreciated the extra time and care she gave me! I feel really blessed that she took the time to do the sessions on a 1-1 basis, I am under no illusion she has much more important things to do so I really appreciated this! I want to thank [name removed] (and the guys from my DBT course) who have helped me negotiate life and the trauma I’ve incurred and have helped me live a better life! Thank you!
The environment in which you have your therapy is really not helpful. I understand NHS blah blah. But you’re meant to go there to listen or be heard, which is hard when all you hear are staff members jumping down the hall! And depending on what side of the building you’re on there’s peoples back gardens on one side, and yea you can draw the blinds but that won’t stop noise in the school holidays. And then the other side is the inpatient part, so through no fault of the patients who reside there, you hear scream crying shouting etc. which can be scary sometimes. And also not an environment to then talk about your issues.
The first bit you walk into has changed a bit, it feels more like a waiting room now than a corridor I appreciate the effort with the chairs, because some people need to sit on them rather than the floor.
After a poor experience in orthopaedic clinic this was amazing. I really felt involved in my treatment and I am very pleased with the results.
