The staff were lovely and the environment clean & tiday.

I feel there should be a system in place that allows patients to know estimates of time or where they are within the system. At one point I wondered if I’d missed my name being called as it took so long and the receptionist did not offer to check when I explained I’d been waiting 2.5hrs for blood results. I ended up leaving, but I would’ve stayed had I know when the end point was. All it would have taken is to explain the delay and that I would be seen by __ o clock latest. It is more stressful when you are given a time (I was told an hour) and it isn’t kept to. A raffle ticket system where you could see your number on a screen and knowing you have not been forgotten about, would also be useful.

I was seen promptly.
The Dr listened and had a calm and caring manner.
Suggested improvements
Longer hours for the pharmacy. Or Give accurate information about where hospital prescriptions can be picked up from. Sainsburys do not after 5.30pm.

The accident and emergency department night staff and morning staff were absolutely brilliant looked after me so well they were brilliant I cannot fault them.would love to thank them all one by one

I found the staff at the hospital to be rude I would ask questions and they would just roll there eyes or complain that they don’t get paid enough

After all the bad publicity about A and E wards going around I was dreading attending but to my surprise the experience was brilliant. From arriving to leaving I only spent nine hours and that was all my tests, scans and seeing specialists and getting my medication I was totally satisfied with the outcome. Thank you very much Scunthorpe General Hospital.

From start to finish they were patient and kind whilst treating me even though i was extremely anxious

It would have been nice to get a warm drink over such a long visit 4hrs or more vending machines had no water and cafe shut. I did get offered tto be fair but they firgot. It was very busy
