Very impressive new A & E department. Extremely clean. I attended as an emergency in the early hours with chest pain and was seen very quickly and assessed by a nurse who took blood samples and performed ECG. As ECG was normal I then had to wait to see the Doctor who then requested chest X-ray. This was done very quickly. Following a short wait I was then seen again and discharged home with all findings normal. My experience was very good.

I was so impressed with my treatment. It was a busy time , new facility which was impressive, but the point I took away was the interaction with everyone, first class

Cannot fault the care and treatment I received at Scunthorpe Hospital. All the staff from cleaners to tea ladies to nurses and consultants all deserve accolades!

The new A&E was clean, a bigger place, and more room. Everyone was nice to you, always smiling while I was there you could ask for water their was no hot drinks offered.

The doctor that dealt with us, although he seemed a friendly warm Dr, he seemed a little... disorganised... as we were leaving he gave us last minute care instructions. Seemed a bit hap hazard He also seemed like a really nice Dr, smiley and warm.

There were two receptionists for booking in, however one sat glued to her PC while the other booked the patient before me in. Once she had finished they both continued to work on their pc's no communication to tell me 'I'll be with you in a minute' or anything. After twelve minutes one of them finally called me over.

By the doctor and nurse…very considerate

Waiting times are lengthy between seeing each specialist if this could be improved it would help greatly

I am having a torrid time at the moment with my health? I had to have 13 hours in A & E and 5 days in Ward 23. I am sure they saved my life? I have been back again and spent 7 hours in A & E and another visit to Ward 2 (5hours) they have finally found out I have Heart Failure! But at least they now know how to treat me. Everyone worked well and I am so great full zfor their expertise. Thank them all!

Eye specialist made me feel relaxed and he explained everything even where he was going to touch on my eye beforehand.

When the scruffy kids come in handcuffed keep away from decent people especially parents waiting with children as it just made him feel more cocky
