Review of F4 stroke written by a patient
19th August 2019

All staff on the f wards were fantastic, very caring, compassionate, attentive, respectful and overall the best care I’ve ever received. The staff were not also amazing with myself but they continually made sure my girlfriend was ok, answered any questions she had and supported her emotionally when she was struggling coming to terms with my stroke. Although all staff were amazing there was a hcsw that stood out and went above and beyond her job to check on us both and deserves an extra recognition her name was Karen day, she is a credit to f4 and a truly lovely person and a credit to the nhs.

Review of Fast Access Chest Pain clinic written by
16th August 2019

Speed of access to the service is amazing. I saw my GP on the Tuesday morning, had a call from the QA on Wednesday and had a consultation at the Chest Pain Clinic Thursday afternoon. I'll be having an Angiogram in 3 weeks. The staff are very knowledgeable, put you at ease and have a very proactive attitude.

Review of Gynae Ambulatory written by a patient
14th August 2019

My appointment was changed multiple times (again)! The check-in machine directed me to the incorrect floor The English of the consultant I saw the previous time was so bad I did not understand fully what was going on with me. The letter she sent to the ultra sound technician was also not understood by the technician, so she asked me what she needed to do. The consultant today could not grasp why I did not know what was going on. The clue in the equation was that the ultra test had shown up something that I was not informed about and therefore my appointment had been changed to a different test. This was also not evident from the new appointment letter.

Review of A5,6 written by a patient
10th August 2019

The staff on the ward were very good but I felt I was bed blocking waiting for the pharmacy to send my drugs for discharge. The consultant requested the drugs in the early morning but I was not ready to go until late afternoon. If it had come earlier someone else could have had my bed and lunch.

Review of G5 (Private ward) written by a patient
5th August 2019

My room was near the nurses station - which was very noisy at change of shifts - I had to ask for my door to be kept closed. I didn't really want to hear about the drugs the other patients were being given! There was often quite a delay between requesting something like painkillers and actually receiving them. Having spent a night at the Spire in Havant last year I felt that the staff at QA could learn a great deal from the staff at the Spire - mainly about interactions with the patients. More explanations about what was happening and what I was being given would have been helpful. Although the staff were thoroughly professional and I felt I could trust them there was something missing.
