James understood the problems I was experiencing. He treated me with respect and was knowledgable and understood what I was saying. He treated me with respect and was very competent about helping me with me problem. I felt confident about the advice and exercises he gave me. He was excellent and I appreciated all he said and what he recommended. Thank you.
I had a nutritionalist appointment with Emily Giuliano and all I can say is she was amazing, so lovely, listened to me, was so understanding and also didn't seem annoyed at the fact that my daughter who is queen clingy was crying because my attention on her while I was on the phone. She was fantastic. Thank you so much! And she sent me loads of things to read to help me with my daughters allergies.
My Physiotherapist was James Bell. I cannot praise him enough. He has totally understood
my needs, and was the only clinician I have had contact with that has understood my injury .
James has helped me move forward into managing all my daily tasks .
Additionally James also requested for me to have an MRI scan to identify why I am still
experiencing back pain. This was denied to me by casualty on the 19th January when I fell.
and also by my GP.
Felt listened to and not “just another patient” to hurry along. Appropriate help and advice which felt very personal (in a good way) and not just the exercises, but other avenues and resources to try, such as the Pain Toolkit. Having been on the ‘Medical Merry-go-Round’ and stopping here for a while before getting back on again, it saved me from sliding into a deep depression, apart from giving me physical/practical benefits. The interactive exercise programme was motivational.
I am really sorry this has been your experience. I will pass on your comments to the service manager. If you feel you are not getting the treatment you need, or wish to discuss further, please contact our patient advice and liaison service for a confidential discussion on pals@nhft.nhs.uk. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager.
It’s personal, and there’s an opportunity to develop a good working relationship with the assigned physiotherapist. I always saw the same person for each of my phases of recovery (2) from a shoulder injury, and later a shoulder surgery. Exercises were appropriate to my needs and abilities and if I was struggling with a particular one then it was adapted to make it workable for me, whilst still therapeutic.
The staff were always on tine for appointments and I felt as though I could raise any issues I wanted to, without feeling I’d be wasting their time.
Very comprehensive phone session with James. He was caring and covered all possible angles. Answered any question raised. Felt totally relaxed and very happy with the service provided. Thank you.
The treatment I received from both Jennifer Ann and James Bell during the past year has been excellent. All consultations clearly explained, along with excersises given has helped with my pain, by continuing with the exercise programme will hopefully stop pain from going back to square one . Many many thankyous for your excellent help.
Really helpful and respectful. Helped me alot.
James Bell was amazing. I can hardly believe that physio treatment was all done via phone calls. He obviously asked all the right questions, tailored my exercises accordingly, tweaking where necessary. I am so very grateful for all his help and guidance.
I was scared and felt at ease completely. Such kind women that put all my needs first.
