Ambulance staff and support staff brilliant,after that qualified staff were non existent

Arrived a diana princess of Wales grimsby hospital at 5.15pm then waited till just before 6pm to go into A@E after bloods were taken then transferred to room 12 side room at approx 7.30pm from then on till 10.15pm no one came to see if I was OK ask if I needed a drink or anything to eat then at 10.15pm a nurse came in and asked me if I had been seen by anyone which I had not ,so I said I would go home they then said I would have to sign a discharge form ,I said my wife is outside waiting for me the lady in dark blue uniform said I could go and she would sort it out for me her final words were if you need us you know where we are,if this is A@e care god help us

I was treated with dignity and compassion all the time I was in a&ei couldn't fault the staff at all.

Checked in as soon as I arrived. A&E started to get quite busy, but I wasn’t waiting too long before seen by a doctor.
He was very thorough and explained everything to me including the sheet explaining things not to do following head injury and any problems to look out for.
He then took me to another area to await treatment and kept me informed that somebody would be with me shortly, which they were. Treatment was carried out promptly, wound on head glued and tetanus vaccine given. Thank you NHS

We was treated really well within the a nd e just long waiting out side with my 5 year old boy who had it turned out had badly broken his arm.
Suggested improvements
The only thing I could say is that the length of time we spent waiting to see if my son could have a bed on children's ward as he needed and operation doctor wanted to do it that night but there was no beds so had to wait till the next morning at home.also after the operation I wasn't really told what had happened to him during surgery the nurse what was looking after him never really came to tell me I had to wait for night staff before we was discharged.

Like always, when a and e is busy, there's a wait to be seen. It would be perfect to be seen quickly, but that's eutopia.

The a and e department was extremely busy and even under these circumstances the staff where incredibly professional, helpful and very efficient
Only the lack of facilities and available doctors made the situation look like it was being overwhelmed
Suggested improvements
Only more staff and facilities could have shortened the waiting times
