Have spent time in the clinic as an inpatient, outpatient and daypatient. Inpatient was generally quite good, wide variety of groups and good food. However nighttime handover was never managed very well - took ages and no support was available during this time. Nurses were good, therapists were not. Many of the groups repeated themselves and some of the therapists were boring and couldn't control a group. Didn't spend long in day patient as it was so awful. Dingy little setup with poor food. I did ask about the food but got told that we could cook our own decent meals at home - surely if we could do that then we wouldn't be in daypatient? Really not worth the £500 out so it is every day. My outpatient treatment was awful. My aftercare from discharge seemed to be forgotten about whilst the psychological therapy was useless. I was suppose to be having emdr but only ever did one session of this in which it was done far too quickly. I then asked for DBT but was told that it was pointless as I had learnt all the skills from inpatient yet when inpatient I was extremely unwell and didn't always take everything in. There is also more to DBT than just skills so extremely disappointed and have now sought help from a different provider.

The majority of staff are lovely, helpful and kind. They listened when I needed it and pushed me a little to more to help me get the most of my stay. The service/care provided is exceptional.

Suggested improvements
There are a few staff who are slightly dismissive and do not seem to want to help. The handover in the evening goes on for a long time and if you need help urgently you are told to wait. Not great when your having a full brown panic attack.

My recovery was good and quicker than anticipated, Some communication was slow or missing which is why I rated good instead of very good.

Suggested improvements
More follow up on care plan during stay. It was only reviewed before I left and should have been revisited between consultant appointments, to provide more support if needed. Some of the groups were not good, the content was good but the consultant, teacher did not present it well.

Many people genuinely cared about my well-being and needs./nDr. [name removed] really made me think and pin-pointed problems so precisely. [name removed] is exceptional and supported me, encouraged me and empowered me in a ways that I would never had before. Everyone needs [name removed] in their life. [name removed] was an invaluable source of knowledge, support and help too. [name removed] was amazing at also watching out for me and really listening./[name removed] listens so attentively which is genuinely amazing skill./nIn fact everyone was supportive and helpful and made the service exceptional for me./[name removed] had really made a difference to my life and also precisely pinpointed my triggers I did not experience such an extraordinary tailored service./nI also had a great experience from being with other 'normal' people with different life issues that made me realize that mental.

Suggested improvements
Sometimes the tables were not cleaned properly./nI already mentioned the managing of the reflective group on behalf of the patients./nIt was hard to get into art and craft sessions as they filled up fast./nSometimes it got really noisy. The TV set up was not the best the cleanliness and sometimes too vocal about their personal problems./nI know I have written a lot but I work in the 'experience' field./nA member of staff licked their finger before serving me my dinner using the same hand which surprised me./nLunches were often bland (plain pasta, rice, etc served - the pot of dressing did not work). Sometimes I received my medication in the morning and sometimes I did not - it was usually brought to my room./nI thought of the CC as a 5-star hotel where everything was done for me.
