The nurse who saw me was abrupt. I attended feeling quite distressed and she failed to pick up on that. She was very task focused. She did not wash her hands at all while I was in the clinic even though she took my blood. I did not feel it is a safe or nice practice. I am considering changing practices.

Basic hand hygiene.
Helpful receptionist- I asked how to book a covid vaccination and she said “on line” I didn’t know if that meant bus patient access, the nhs app or something else.
Receptionist was irritated that I didn’t know who my appointment was with

Dr [name removed] had thoroughly researched my record, and made a very astute analysis of my problem, with very clear explanations and answers to my questions. I left feeling released, and that he was onto my case. A medical consultation as it should be.

Profile
We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
