I found Mr Desai to be very professional, with an excellent bedside manner. Mr Desai knows exactly what he is doing, and how to achieve the expected outcome. He understands what you are experiencing and cares about how to manage the problem, along with very good after care. Mr Desai was also backed by an incredibly professional, caring team in every way. As far as hospitalisation was concerned, I had Day Surgery in St Hughes, which again exceeded my expectations, and I was treated with care and respect in again a very professional manner.

After 14 months of considerable shoulder pain and being unable to lift my left arm I was referred to Mr Desai by the Rheumatology Consultant at Grimsby Hospital. Mr. Desai did several tests, scans and agreed to do corrective surgery for a cuff repair. He explained there were two procedures he could offer as I am 73 years old, also outlined each one, then gave me the choice. I decided on a cuff repair to the muscle and tendons and not a replacement shoulder. Going into St. Hugh's Hospital, for the operation was excellent and I was made comfortable with maximum care from Mr. Desai and his team, the Anaesthetist also reassured me and made me feel comfortable and confident I was in good hands, all staff and nurses were 100% excellent and I thank them all very much. The aftercare and physiotherapy has been good and indeed the whole experience was made relatively stress free. The operation has been a success and although it was only 13 weeks ago I have full movement back in my arm and 90% less pain, having to bear in mind I still have some rheumatoid arthritis in shoulder. I have been released from physio and had a final consultation with Mr Desai who was very happy with my progress. Again my thanks go to Mr. Desai and the team at St. Hugh's who were friendly, helpful and professional.

Mr Desai is a lovey kind specialist he puts you at ease before and after operation.i had a reverse shoulder operation and was very pleased with the results.today I was signed off from him and we had a laugh I am s o grateful to him and cannot praise and thank him enough.

After being admitted to hospital for a rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder and a scan on my right shoulder I was under the care of Mr Aravind Desai consultant orthopedic surgeon and his team who explained and answered all my questions regarding both sides of my shoulder. The care I received during and after my left shoulder operation, was excellent and through. Follow up and after care was equaslly as good, toa satisfactory conclusion
