Long waiting list on the NHS compensated for by their quick and efficient online portal and clean processes for psychiatric care. A++

Pyschiatry Uk has time and time again ensured that the titration process was as painless as possible. The level of communication between user and staff is unparalleled in any online healthcare service I have used before, and I always felt as though I was being heard. Because of this, I wasn't nervous or anxious to bring up issues I was having, and I didn't feel like I had to simply keep quiet and blindly agree with anything that was being said. The prescriber that worked with me was wonderful and incredibly understanding. I think this is a truly wonderful service which genuinely helps the people that need it. I can't recommend it enough!

The Doctor used the term 'mild' to describe my ADHD. Mild sounds like a functioning label. I believe that functioning labels are inappropriate as: they aren't (to my knowledge) in the DSM-5, ADHD is a varying condition and so while my symptoms may be 'mild' on one day they won't on another, functioning labels have and may well still be used to prevent neurodivergent people from gaining assistance they need, functioning labels don't actually help the person they are applied to, and given my ADHD may have had a hand in causing my Depression/ Anxiety I don't think it can be considered mild. It also wasn't helpful that I had to choose between medication and psychological assistance but I recognise this was probably not down to the Doctor. That being said I did feel like I had the space to say everything I wanted without judgement so apart from the use of the outdated label the appointment was good.

I was seen as quick as possible, even with the long waiting list. The portal was easy to use and I was guided through anything I was having trouble with. The customer support team were lovely and helped me change any appointments when they clashed with other things. My psychiatrist, Richard, was brilliant. They were very helpful and was very well informed. I was so happy to finally get a diagnosis. My tritiation nurse, Jenni, was amazing as well and helped me find the best medication for me and assured me throughout my treatment when I had any concerns. This was the best experience I've ever had in a mental health care service and was wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and everyone.

I was really anxious about my initial ADHD appointment, there were some internet communication problems with not being able to see/hear each other properly but I cannot tell you how quickly Dr Dinal Vekaria diffused my worries and sorted that problem out. I wouldn’t have ever thought about myself having ADHD, specially at my age and after being referred I was still somewhat sceptical about it however, Dr Vekaria was so thorough in answering all of my questions (and there were a lot!), very patient with me and completely knowledgable in every way I needed. I felt like I had ample time to answer the questions he was asking and didn’t feel rushed in any way. He listened first and foremost which for me is a huge plus as I’ve been to see other Drs before and I just felt completely dismissed. I can’t tell you how glad I am that he was my Dr, specially for my initial appointment because he has completely turned around the attitude I had going into the appointment. He’s a professional, caring and very very knowledgeable man who makes you feel like all he’s got is time to hear you and that goes further than anything really. I’d be absolutely delighted to have any further appointments with him. Thank you Dr V!

I was referred to Psychiatry-UK through the NHS after speaking to my GP about potential ADHD symptoms The entire process was painless and professional from the initial assessment, all the way through to the end of the titration process. Any questions or concerns I have had were answered quickly and clearly. This process has been massively beneficial for me and given me a greater understanding of my condition, and some tools to move forward. My diagnosis and assesment were carried out by Dr Rajvinder Sambhi, and the specialist for the titration service was Rasheed Awofeso , both of which have made this process a wonderful and stress free experience for me. I have no difficulty recommending either of these gentleman to anyone dealing with ADHD. I would like to thank both of them, and to anyone else working behind the scenes at Psychiatry-UK as a whole.

Excellent service and communication. My Psychiatrist, Chandra, instantly put me at ease and listened without judgement when making the diagnosis. The appointment was more like an informal friendly chat which I was not expecting. My titration nurse, Denise, responded to any concerns or queries very quickly, sometimes even late at night. She went above and beyond to help me with the titration process, she listened and advised without any judgement and I can't thank her enough for all the help she has given. The only thing I would change is the waiting time, but that is no fault of the clinic.

This time 18 months ago, I would have laughed should you have told me I had ADHD. 12 months ago I began to research it and come to terms with the fact that this might be applicable to me. I spoke to my GP provider and was then referred to Psychiatry UK. The assessment so much quicker than I thought and the whole process was smooth and clear. I was never made to feel silly if I didn't understand something and everyone took the time to ensure I understand all that I needed to - which did wonders for my anxiety. The medication was life changing in so many good ways but, it wasn't easy at the beginning. The fact I could message my prescribing nurse and have a constant conversational thread got me through these tough times and without this whole process, I'd have probably given up and not persevered to see the wonders that medication can have. The response times were so quick and so constant, I actually worried my prescribing nurse ever had a day off to recoup! Thank you so much to all of the team.
