Had a good adhd assessment (before the current overload of the system) and can't fault them for that. Was disappointed that shared care was explained to me as "Once you've been diagnosed and titrated we'll release you back to your GP". No mention of yearly reviews and paying for them, which meant I had to scramble to sell things on ebay to afford it at the 1 year mark. Review follow up was very disappointing too, had several recommendations for my gp that they said would be in their letter - didn't include them and response when I queried this was " so do you want us to send another letter?" Well, yes, you said these were important points! I am surprised how unfriendly their admin is to ADHD patients, passwords are long and complicated, portal note access is randomly turned off between appointments with no notice and you are responsible for remembering yearly review timings (no reminders or prompts) and have to figure out how to book with no communication possible through the usual portal method, no adhd option on online booking and their chat function operators can't help after you've been on hold with them. Shame as was highly recommended when I first went to them

Clinicians so far have been amazing and the portal is fairly easy to use. Only criticism I have is that there be more emails sent out to remind you, you are still on the waitlist. I completely understand there's a long wait that is not the clinics fault at all but was worried after a few months of not hearing anything at all. Just a monthly email to say we have still got you on our list would be extremely helpful even if it was the same one every month just for some reassurance when the wait can't be helped :)

Dr Leszek completed my assessment for autism and was very kind and caring throughout. I struggled with the questions, which Dr Leszek noticed and allowed me to go away and write information down and send to him along with questions he had as it was a lot to process. Dr Leszek also took some time to ask about my interests and wanted to know some more, which was nice as do not always experience that. I am hoping Dr Leszek carries out my ADHD assessment as well.

I’ve been with Psychiatry UK since January 2023 and, in spite the pause in medication due to stock issues, they have been incredible and always so attentive. The process of diagnosis, which for me is ADHD, was treated with respect and the method in obtaining medication was also very good. Not without fault, however, this was certainly due to the medication shortage which I am aware is outside their control. While the process has taken its time as I’m sure is the case for anyone receiving a diagnosis, I always felt heard and knew that, for any issue, they would accommodate and help to the best of their abilities. I would highly recommend anyone seeking a diagnosis to use this service, all involved (very much including my prescriber, Helen) have been professional, kind and effective. I very much appreciate their help.

Sarah assisted me throughout titration for adhd medication. She was always helpful, very attentive and responsive during the process. She also gave me very good adviceh for my specific situation. It’s been a pleasure to go through it with her.

I have had such a positive experience with Psychiatry UK. From diagnosis to titration it has been professional and easy. There are obviously timescales between referral and diagnosis and titration but I was kept up to date and informed of progress. Any questions I had were answered in a timely way with the information I needed. Lisa my prescriber was lovely and very easy to talk to. I felt very supported through the titration process and despite a long wait to try a second medication due to national shortages I was kept up to date until I could start again. Medication has been life changing for me and I am very grateful for the support to find what works for me.
