Dr Sessa was so understanding, listened to me and treated me with dignity and respect. He provided such a 'safe space' and for the first time in years I felt a medical professional has taken me seriously. Thank you.
From start to finish I was very impressed with psychiatry-uk. They were very helpful and a great assistance with diagnosing and assisting me with ADHD.
I'm grateful for all they help they provided and highly recommend them
I had an ADHD assessment, diagnosis and titration for the relevant medication. The whole process excellent from start to finish. The doctor was understanding and communicative and was able to help me understand where ADHD was effecting my life. The nurse I had during the titration period was also great. I received fantastic communication and care throughout. The online portal is easy to use and contains all of your relevant information, as well as allowing you to pay online, upload notes for clinicians and admin and make appointments. I was very impressed with the whole process.
An excellent experience from first booking to completion of titration
Great part is it i straightforward and has a lot of questions to question yourself.
I wish they had a segment where you could get latest research papers.
And also I would like to know more about Alternative Treatments rather than being prescribed medication .....
Very well organised with expert care. Can't recommend enough.
After waiting on the NHS list to be assessed for ADHD, I came across Psychiatry-UK. I asked my GP for a referral and here I am within weeks ( about 8) I have been diagnosed and now trialling medication. I can't recommend Psychiatry-UK enough. Fantastic service all round, from IT support to he lovely admin team and my Doctor.
Our eldest was approaching the end of A'Levels when we realised that they might have ADHD. To get a speedy diagnosis we decided to go private through Psychiatry-UK. We had an excellent experience from the start, through diagnosis and titration, all the way through to the final arrangement of shared care with our GP. An excellent service - highly recommended.
This was a very pleasant experience, with an approachable, kind, and intelligent physiatrist.
Having been on the wait list for the local ngs team for almost 2 years myself.. And to have witnessed the woefully inadequate care my husband received for the same Neurodevelopmental issues from said local adhd clinic. I am beyond grateful to the puk team and the patients right to choose.
Your dedication to your patients, timely and efficient communication, knowledgeable advice re medication options (all things that were absolutely not the case during my husbands nhs treatment) made my titration period a stress free as possible. I felt heard and listened to with any and all concerns I had and nothing seemed to an issue to resolve one way or another.
I cannot stress how massively positive it has been for myself and my whole family for me to finally have a diagnosis and be medicated adequately for my adhd. It has literally changed my life. It has also made me realise my own strengths much more than before after a whole life spent feeling like nothing I did was ever good enough, and that I'd never make the best of my talents and strengths due to cripplingly restricted executive function.
It has also given me the confidence to fully advocate for our son who has all the signs of adhd himself. I refuse to let him go through life like he's stuck in quicksand as his peers sail through everything, that was my lived experience and I will make sure he has better opportunities to find ways to manage his own ups and downs that adhd brings.
Thank you.
