I had a fantastic experience with Prof Veer. He was extremely thorough, kind and caring. He has given me hope with my sleep apnoea that there may be light at the end of the tunnel. He provided me with a comprehensive treatment plan and options that I may explore. My virtual consultation from Vancouver Canada was great and it would be a pleasure to meet him in person if needed. I can't recommend him highly enough!

I have had a few consultations with Prof Vik Veer in relation following my diagnosis with severe sleep apnoea by my local sleep clinic. The treatment provided by the clinic – CPAP machine – made things worse, not better. After a few months of this I explored options and came across Professor Veer’s helpful videos and so organised to consult with him. Professor Veer radically changed my understanding of my condition and gave me a much better way forward. He questioned the original interpretation of the sleep study, recommended a different therapy – positional sleeping – and carried organised a follow up test, following the implementation of the new therapy. The outcome – I now no longer suffer from ‘severe sleep apnoea’ – a simple change in my sleep position took my pAHI score from 43 to 2.6 – well below the ‘treatment required threshold’. The potential for this outcome was evident when looking more deeply into the original sleep study results – even I had spotted a ‘strange’ aspect of the results. Professor Veer quickly found the way forward, a much cheaper and less intrusive way forward without ‘side-effects’. So, a great outcome. Professor Veer was really easy to communicate with, he listened, took note of my concerns without any evidence of ‘the patient knows nothing’ attitude so common amongst health professionals – a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend Professor Veer – I had to self-finance as neither my doctor nor the Sleep Clinic would support an NHS ENT referral – ‘we have solved your problem, just use the CPAP’. It was money well spent.

Professor Veer and his team provided me with an excellent, well organized service. Everything from the initial consultation, the hospital admission, the procedure itself and the follow-up went seamlessly. I am delighted with the final result of my surgery and I am very happy to recommend Professor Veer.

Exactly a year ago, I travelled to the UK to undergo a septoplasty and turbinate reduction performed by Dr. Vik Veer. Prior to the surgery, one of my nostrils was completely and constantly congested (the blockage would alternate sides during the day). I had lived with this condition for six years; before that, my breathing was clear. During those six years, I considered surgery multiple times but couldn’t commit, as I have three friends who went through a similar procedure that either didn’t help or failed and had to be repeated. However, when I saw Dr. Veer’s in-depth YouTube video ("Risks, Complications and Aftercare for a Nose Operation") explaining everything that could go wrong, I knew I had found the right doctor. As Dr. Veer likes to put it - he is no hero; when it comes to risk, he is acutely aware of the potential complications and knows how to minimize them. I was looking for a minimal effective intervention and that is precisely the "vibe" I was getting from Dr. Veer. The surgery itself, the consultations and the support from Dr. Veer’s team were flawless and professional. I am very happy to share that today, a year post-surgery, my nose is fully open with only a minuscule hint of congestion on one side. This operation has made a significant impact on my quality of life, and I am grateful to Dr. Veer and his team. It was well worth the time and money invested in flying to London from overseas.

He was brilliant, he really took his time to understand my weird and complicated situation because multiple things are going wrong. He didn't dismiss me or jump to any conclusions. I would definately recommend seeing him and I will be going to him again.

I had a very helpful, 30-minute video consultation with Dr. Veer to discuss a personal health situation. Dr. Veer impressed me as being an exceptionally knowledgeable, assiduous, humane physician / surgeon. He thinks synthetically, looking at many aspects of the situation and integrating them into a deep understanding that benefits the patient, also recommending consultations with other specialists when necessary. Dr. Veer also impressed me as being an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker who recognizes the limitations of current medical knowledge and technique, and is working to raise these to a higher level. He is down to earth and has real empathy for the patient -- a rare quality. If you are considering consulting with Dr. Veer, I recommend binge watching some of his videos first -- which is what I did. This will let you build your knowledge, be better able to absorb what he says, and also to ask focused questions. Perhaps I should add that I myself am an M.D.

It was such a reassurance to see Professor Veer at his surgery in Harley Street. After having complaints for many years related to my sleep apnea and told their was nothing wrong with me or they simply didn't know what to do by other health care professionals Professor Veer immediately understood everything about all my symptoms and had immediate advice on next steps to improve my condition. I am greatly looking forward to my next visit with him and his colleagues in their friendly and relaxing environment.

The advice provided by Vik Veer has resulted in an immediate fixing of my sleep apnoea. My AHI was 24 prior to using CPAP 18 months and 15 after using. After using the Woodknows, nasal spay and tongue exercises. It has fallen to 1! It is unusual to find someone who understands sleep apnoea and provides practical techniques to eliviate symptoms. His YouTube sessions provide excellent clear explanations and help.
