I saw Mr Ellis in relation to an acute pain in my knee. He showed me the problem(s) on the MRI scan and explained the treatment options available. He was very helpful and considerate. I was amazed by how quickly the arthroscopy procedure was scheduled.

Most of what I was going to say appears to have already been said. This is my second visit to Simon Ellis, he did my right knee in 2002 after a Cartilage injury & repaired it very effectively. I have had no subsequent problems. This time it was the left knee, yet again with a Cartilage injury. Simon operated on this 2 weeks ago & pain relief was swift. I am currently recovering well. And yet again would recommend Simon Ellis for knee complaints.

Mr Ellis picked up a historical injury which had been misdiagnosed many times before. He was very helpful in exploring multiple avenues of treatment until we found something which seems to be working. He was clear in his explantions throughout, carefully took on board my views and was very reassuring during treatments. I felt much more confident in his care that I have done regarding this injury previously.

Simon Ellis was very professional when he spoke to me about the cancellation of my knee operation. I had an infected insect bite on my leg so the decision was made mutually by myself and Mr Ellis to cancel my knee operation. His advice reassured me that it was the right decision. I thought that I would have to wait a few months for another appointment, however Mr Ellis made a new appointment for me to have the knee operation in a couple of weeks time. Wow! what an excellent service. Kitty Challis

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with others. To me the most important part of treatment is the final outcome. As a knee surgeon I deal with quality of life and the impact of a knee infection following surgery is awful. With elective surgery we should never take any unnecessary risks hence postponing your procedure. This fits with my mission statement of providing the same level of care I would expect my family to receive. Looking forward to looking after you shortly. With kind regards Simon Ellis
