When I first met Mr Simon Ellis he was very polite and reassuring, and I was only seeing him for a consultation he also at the time drained fluid from my knee. Between my first appointment with him and my operation I saw him twice. I went into KIMS in April for my knee replacement and when he came to see me before my operation he took my wife's mobile number so he can ring her when I came out of theatre which he did and he reassured her that everything had gone well and I was at the time of ringing in recovery. Mr Ellis's post operative care and follow-up appointments were very good, any problems that I thought I had was put at ease by him by saying that these things are not problems but are natural things that occur with this type of operation.
When I had my operation he was coming to see me the day after but due to illness he was unable to, but when he came the next day he apologised for not seeing me the day before.
I would just like to mention the anaesthetist Mike (whose surname I cannot remember) but he also was really good we chatted all the way through the operation about fishing which Mr Ellis mentioned when I see him yesterday (20/08).

Mr Ellis listened carefully to our son's knee problem, examined him thoroughly and discussed with us what he thought would be be the best and most appropriate treatment. We didn't feel rushed at all and would return to see him again if necessary (although with the greatest respect we hope not to need him again) Thanks Mr Ellis for your help and advice.

Mr Simon Ellis is a very lovely pleasant consultant who has given me great relief from the pain I was getting in my knee before my operation I can’t thank him enough for the care I was given at every appointment I went too thank you so much

I’ve just had my second total knee replacement in 7 months with Mr Ellis and would highly recommend him and Kim’s hospital Maidstone
I always felt that he was at the end of the phone if I had any problems or questions so never felt on my own

I had a full left knee replacement carried out by Mr Ellis, it all went very well apart from me falling over and opening the wound slightly. Mr Ellis and his team have looked after very well and very professionally since then and I am returning to work next week.
Mr Ellis is an absolute gentleman and very professional, the whole team at KIMS are fantastic.
