Having just had a total knee replacement at KIMS Hospital, I can't recommend the staff & care enough. Superb professional assistance from the beginning & I felt safe & confident in their care. Mr Ellis is very friendly & explains everything in detail. I would totally recommend this hospital & in particular Mr Ellis, thank you to all who helped me!

First met Mr Simon Ellis on10th September 2018.
Very impressed from this meeting, he has a very calming manner and is very knowledgeable which I found to be very reassuring.
He gave me a date for my knee replacement surgery during this first meeting, which I did not expect and explained the procedure in detail.
Really looking forward to having knee replacement surgery and doing a further follow up review.

Visited the Hospital and was very anxious.
After talking to Mr. Simon Ellis and discussing my operation I left the Hospital with total confidence of my procedure.
Would definitely recommend this excellent Hospital and Doctor.

I cannot praise Mr Ellis highly enough!! Prior to my surgery he was very thorough and thoughtful and recommended physiotherapy first to see whether there could be any improvement in my knee through a conservative measure rather than straight in to surgery. After many weeks of physiotherapy I was not making progress so it was decided to go down the surgical route of a knee arthroscopy. I was kept fully informed at all times and had my surgery at KIMS in July 2018.
Since surgery I have returned on three occasions as I have had swelling around the knee, which needed aspiration and a steroid injection. Each time I have returned he has been informative and caring and always willing to see me to discuss with me and reassure me, regarding my progress.
I would also like to say that my stay in KIMS was very good and everyone was kind and helpful - especially my porter who took me out to the car on discharge and then remembered me several days later when I returned to have my dressing removed and was once again polite and helpful. All these things make a huge difference to a stay in hospital.
