Mr Thiruchelvam performed two operations on me within a month and I felt I was in very safe hands. He is knowledgeable and focussed and helped me through what was inevitably a worrying time. He answered questions and provided information and stats to help me through the next stages of my treatment. He went the extra mile for me so that I could return home as quickly as possible after surgery.

Following the most terrible news that I was in this predicament, I was treated by the most wonderful people. Paul explained the options very clearly in plain language and told me exactly what was going to take place. I chose to have mammoplasty and a reduction in the non cancerous breast. The results were so much better than I .expected. My breasts look better than before the operation and I feel like a complete women again.

On the 9th of July I underwent a Mastectomy at the Charing Cross and was extremely lucky to have Mr Paul Thiruchelvarn as my surgeon. From our first meeting he had a friendly but professional approach that put me completely at ease. He clearly explained what he would be doing and listened carefuly to my questions. I felt totally relaxed throughout the procedure and was amazed that I never once felt any pain. I am very happy with the result. My thanks to Mr Thiruchelvam The breast team were also very helpful but there seemed to be a slight breakdown in communication, which resulted in the drain being left in for 9 days. I had expected it to be just 3 or 4 days. This severely restricted my mobility at home, particularly as I have Parkinson's Disease and live alone. My thanks also to the breast team.

I had a lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy and mammoplasty on June 25th 2018 at Charing Cross Hospital. Mr Thiruchelvam was brilliant, he talked to me with respect and honesty and explained the procedures in a way that I could fully understand. He also checked whether there were any questions I had. Mr Thiruchelvam performed the surgery and the result was even better than I had hoped, he is a very competent and skilled surgeon. Mr Thiruchelvam is also very thorough and caring, there was some bruising and bleeding that he wanted to keep an eye on so asked me to see him the following day at clinic. He saw me on time and was also very respectful to other staff that were working in the clinic I would recommend Mr Thiruchelvam to anyone having breast conserving surgery.
