I can't believe that I am struggling to put into words what amazing human beings Mr Paul Thiruchelvam and nurse Orla O'Neill are. Both of these wonderful people have helped me above and beyond what's required of them. Paul took the time to explain everything to myself and my husband. He was also present at my operation and visited straight after too. He also rang Orla to let her know that I was out of theatre and she also came to see me. They truly are the golden team and any patient that falls under their care will be so much better for it. AMAZING and thank you both so much for everything.

I was very lucky, upon my diagnosis of breast cancer to be assigned Dr Paul Thiruchelvam He is completely the best choice I could have had. Professional, considerate, thorough, knowledgeable, and allowed me to keep my dignity at all times. He is well liked and respected by the other medical staff he liaises with which is a positive reflection of the medical care which he provides. I would give him the highest recommendation, he always takes the time to address all your issues completely and I totally trust him.

When I was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in the breast with metastic carcinoma in the lymph nodes, I was both shocked and very anxious. However, I was blessed to be referred to Mr Paul Thiruchelvam at Charing Cross Hospital. Mr Thiruchelvam is a very special man. Not only is he clearly a very skilled surgeon, he has a lovely manner and the ability to explain the diagnosis, surgical procedures and treatments in a way that is easy for his patients to understand. Immediately after my first consultation with Mr Thiruchelvam, it was clear to me that he was the consultant under whose care I wanted to be. I was blessed a second time by the assignment of Orla O'Neill as my breast care nurse. She is simply wonderful. She is compassionate, caring and very knowlegable. I cannot thank Mr Thiruchelvam and Orla enough for the exceptional care I have received from them. They are both first class professionals.

After a routine mammogram I was diagnosed with early stage bilateral multi focal breast cancer. I was recommended to Mr Paul Thiruchelvam my husband’s oncologist. From my first consultation I found Mr Thiruchelvam to be an excellent communicator who inspired total confidence and able to put me and my family at ease. He fully explained my condition illustrating his proposed treatment with easily understood diagrams and explaining all options of highlighting all the permutations of possible side effects. I felt fully and clearly informed and was able to trust him 100% from the outset. His measured, friendly, calm and approachable manner is something both I and my family truly appreciated and it made it possible to face my surgery with total confidence that this was not the ‘end of the world ‘ that I had first assumed I could not recommend this brilliant surgeon and his team highly enough.
