Mr Carmichael was great from start to finish - very knowledgeable consultant. After reading about Mr James Calder (arguably the best ankle surgeon in the UK) I noticed Mr Carmichael had worked closely with him previously so this gave me a lot of confidence before even meeting him. I’m now 4 months post operation, my ankle is feeling great and the pain I had previously has gone.

Mr Carmichael was extremely helpful in explaining the operation I required on my ankle and although the treatment and post op meetings he has been most helpful in answering any questions I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone as I now walk with no aids and no pain and am seriously considering returning to work full time. He has given me another chance to enjoy life again.

Mr Carmichael has a very reassuring manner and gave me confidence in the procedure that I was going to have. He explained everything to me in normal terms and was happy to answer all my questions. After the procedure I am more mobile and am very grateful to him for this. I would happily recommend him.
