Mr James Carmichael

Mr Carmichael is the kindest and most efficient surgeon I have known in well over15years. In January 2017 I sustained a major tendon injury and complete rupture of the right calf tendon. I can't begin to share the anxiety that accompanied that injury on several fronts. This was my lead sprint push offside and I had been training for the next edition of the world medical games. My anxieties were further compounded by the fact that my surgical practice needed me fit and healthy.If there ever was a bad time to sustain a significant injury, this was it! Mr Carmichael very kindly saw me within hours of the injury. I found his scheduling to be very efficient. After completing his clinical examination of my injury, he confirmed the extent with further radiological scans conducted by his team. Mr Carmichael leads a very efficient team. Following that scan, I was reviewed by Mr Carmichael and he informed me of the most current research findings from scientific journals. I was very impressed with Mr Carmicahel's detailed approach to research correlation and outcome studies. At the conclusion of that consultation I was grateful that Mr Carmichael considered my injury to be repairable. Mr Carmicahael encouraged me not to be anxious and I found him to be very reassuring. My surgery was a complete success. The follow up consultation reviews with Mr Carmichael were typically run to time and very informative. It is now fifteen months since my surgery and because of the excellent care I received under Mr Carmichael I have been able to return to competitive level athletics completely. I will be forever grateful for the excellent level of care I received under Mr Carmichael and his team.
