What an amazing bloke! Had reconstructive foot surgery and it was totally pain free from the moment he mended it for me. A few plates & screws later, I can totally say, without any shadow of a doubt, should I ever need surgery again I would request Jim Carmichael definitely. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE HIM.... I met Mr Carmichael on two occasions and was inspired by his approach. His forthright, professional attitude was reassuring, I felt relaxed and confident about my procedure .Post operation I had minimum pain from the start. My recovery was quicker than the time frame expected, I am very pleased with the outcome.

In June 2016 (8 weeks before my wedding) I suffered a bimalleolar ankle fracture with dislocation. After initial management at A&E I opted to go and see Mr Carmichael privately at the Fitzwilliam Hospital upon the recommendation of another doctor friend. Mr Carmichael accomodated me at very short notice into his evening clinic and performed surgery the following day at Peterborough City Hospital. My injury was severe and the fact that I managed to walk down the aisle 8 weeks later was a credit to him and his skill as a surgeon. Mr Carmichael was professional, attentive, efficient and showed great empathy throughout the whole process. He continues to provide exceptional care in all follow up treatment and consultations. In short, a super surgeon and all round good guy! Can't recommend highly enough.

I couldn't rate this man higher. He will go above and beyond to try and help your medical needs and will try his hardest to listen to you concerns and help you with them. He has preformed two ankle surgeries on me and i have had complete faith in him and he hasn't let me down, even though i have subsequently moved to a different hospital due to the nature of my injury, he has shown me impeccable care as he not only cares deeply for your medical needs, he cares greatly for you personal well being too. He creates a very personable and trusting atmosphere and will not let you down. Thank you so much for the care you have shown me these past 3 years and continue to show now.
