Dr Akrawi recently gave me knee surgery in raigmore which I happend to be the first to have this type of surgery in raigmore. He kept me very re assured and made sure I did everything to get it back to strength and return to work and sport soon hopefully. He took great care and explained everything what was going on during check ups and made sure I met the goals I had to work towards.

Mr Akrawi was the surgeon for my recent hip replacement surgery. At the pre-op consultation, he took time and care to explain everything in clear and simple terms and also answer my questions. The day of and following the surgery, Mr Akrawi and his team looked after me fantastically well. It all felt really slick and professional. I couldn't really see the stitching on the wound opened up for surgery, but my partner did, and as a nurse was very impressed with the neatness. That's healed really well.
TBH, I don't have any suggestions for Mr Akrawi in terms of how he could improve the care given. It was all pretty flawless. Thank you.

I would highly recommend Mr Hawar Akrawi........I found his care was second to none.
Sadly due to the pandemic , I had a long wait for my total hip operation and was in severe pain for quite a long time.
I had a consultation with Mr Akwari in June 2022 and he told me that he would get me seen as soon as his schedule permitted.
True to his word, I was given the opportunity to fill in for a cancellation and was operated on shortly afterwards.
Whilst still in the recovery room , he came to see me to tell me that my procedure,
although it had been "nasty" had been a success.
My follow up consultation yesterday was the best news possible.
His opinion on my recovery was delivered in a frank, friendly and funny way and he was quite willing to answer all my questions without making me feel I was wasting his time.

I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty interest in Knee Reconstruction, Joint Preservation and knee Arthroplasty Surgery. I am British trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who completed advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine, Diseases of the knee and Joint Arthroplasty at the prestigious North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. During this year, I spent time gaining advanced training in performing a variety of reconstructive knee procedures under the tutelage of A/Prof Leo Pinczewski in one of the major orthopaedic and sports medicine practices in Australia.
