Hawar saw my father at short notice at the earliest opportunity at the end of his fracture clinic session as he had been struggling with his knee for years but the GP's weren't keen on giving him an xray. Hawar examinted my father in great depth - his knowledge, skill and compassion was exceptional throughout. As a radiographer it was nice for him to explain to my father in terms he would understand and also to me in greater detail. Hawar then requested for xrays of both knees and the extent of hus arthritis was clear and he went on to discuss steps to move forward and possible treatments such as operations. I appreciate his time and would highly recommend him to my family and friends! 5+ star consultant.

After 2 very thorough, unhurried consultations during which the risks were clearly outlined and discussed Mr Akrawi agreed to carry out my knee replacement surgery. This took place on 17th May and I cannot fault the care and attention from him and all the staff I encountered at St. Michael’s Hospital, Hayle. I was mobile and discharged on 18th and had dispensed with my crutches by 20th. I had minimal swelling and by the end of week 2 was only needing pain relief for the knee still awaiting surgery. He says he is a perfectionist and this is very noticeable by looking at my wound. A very caring, careful surgeon - I hope he will have the opportunity to carry out the operation on my other knee. Thank you.

I have been seen by Mr Akrawi for my Acl. Wonderful service from start to finish Everything was explained by him with a professional, knowleagable and happy Attitude.. My knee is now post op and stable and the exercises given are Really helping the strength of my leg and for it to regain strength. The follow up care information is very good and the Suture lines were very neat for those people that are worried about Scars. I would definately recommend him. A lovely and knowleagable surgeon.

Dr Akrawi is a wonderful surgeon who put me at ease. I was extremely nervous having my ACL reconstructed and he reassured me and made me feel confident. Dr Akrawi gave me all the information regarding my operation and what he was going to do. After my operation he explained that due to the instability of my knee further damage had occurred which he corrected. He went completely out of his way to make sure my knee would be fixed to it's best ability. I am truely grateful to his professionalism and approachability. He is also a perfectionist which has made my life easier knowing my knee has been operated on to the best it can. Thank you so much Dr Akrawi
