I met Mr Akrawi in the Anaesthetic room shortly before he operated on my knee. He was reassuring and kind, and explained exactly what he was going to do. Mr Akrawi saw me at my out-patient appointment and showed me my X-Ray's before and after surgery, again explaining clearly what had been done and then how I should proceed in recovery. At all times he was polite and reassuring and I have confidence in all he did for me. Thank you.

Mr Hawar Akwari recently did a reconstructive surgery on my knee. i honestly could not of asked for a better consultant to attend to me. He is humerous and easily approachable and a generally nice guy. Before/during the time i got my diagnosis Mr Akwari was extremely professional and made sure i understood the structure of my own knee and what the problem was. I particularly liked this because it made me feel a lot more confident knowing about my own knee in greater detail. during the re-habillitation stage, Mr Akwari still carried on his nice and humorous behaviour which made/makes the whole process a lot more bearable. He makes it known what i kneed to be doing to make sure my leg gets back to perfect form and has constantly measured me even if milestones i should be achieving are past due date. I would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Akwari for being such a great consultant. It has been very nice meeting him and highly recommend him

Dr Akrawi looked after me during my admission for Septic Arthritis in my knee. The first time I met him I immediately liked his big smile and firm handshake. His bedside manner is lovely. He is calm, reassuring and a very good listener. I found him very approachable and he always answered my and my husbands many and sometimes repeated questions with clear explanations, unhurried and patiently. I believe he is extremely well trained, both, here in the UK and abroad and I trusted his decisions and treatment plan entirely. Again, he always took the time to explain his decisions to me. Therefore I felt safe and was able to relax. I am most grateful for his caring and compassionate care for me and would wholeheartedly recommend this Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon. Thank you very much Dr Akrawi.

I recently attended Treliske hospital and was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming consultant, Mr Hawar Akrawi. He explained in great detail the problem with my knee and why it dislocated. I cannot stress how nice it is see someone who obviously takes pride in his work, and has brilliant Patient care skills.

He is an excellent caring surgeon and has explained in detail the procedure of my recent surgery, which I found reassuring and put me at ease.
