Mr. Akrawi explained very clearly to me the procedure of my hip replacement operation and I was treated extremely well by him and his team, during the process. This has been extremely successful and I am very pleased with the result. However, I followed everything in the booklet concerning the post operation exercises, but was told at the hospital I would not be receiving physiotherapy treatment, after discharge. Having just attended my six week post- op. consultation, I was informed by Mr. Akrawi that this should have occurred and he has now referred me for the treatment. On the whole, my recovery has very much exceeded my expectations and I can thoroughly recommend this consultant.

I have just had a complete knee replacement at Maidstone hospital and the experience was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. Mr Akrawi who performed the operation took time to thoroughly explain the procedure in detail and what I could expect after the operation. I cannot praise Mr Akrawi and his team enough for what he has done for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of knee surgery.

I was asked if I would be willing to transfer to Mr Akrawi as I had been on the waiting list a number of weeks and this would speed up the date for my operation. I was a little apprehensive at first but am so pleased I did. From the first day I met Mr Akrawi he made me feel completely at ease and confident in his ability to preform my total knee replacement. He took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions. He explained the benefits and the downside to having this type of operation at my age (52). On the morning of my surgery, which I had at Maidstone Hospital Orthopedic Ward which I would highly recommend, Mr Akrawi came to see me within half an hour of arriving. He went through the procedure again and what I should expect straight after the operation. Within a few hours and with the support of his fabulous team and nursing staff at Maidstone Hospital my operation was over. The aftercare was absolutely amazing, the nurses, doctors, physio's and Mr Akrawi were first class and they made you feel like nothing was to much trouble for them. Mr Akrawi even came to see me after working at The Tunbridge Wells Hospital to reassure me after speaking to another doctor at Maidstone Hospital regarding my care which I really appreciated. I have recently been for my 6 week check up and again Mr Akrawi greeted me with a smiley face and reassured me all was looking good and that I was on track. I would definitely highly recommend Mr Akrawi to anyone needing his expertise in orthopedic surgery. I also have to say at this point well done to the NHS where would we be without you.

After a consultation with Mr Akrawi he suggested I need an operation to tidy up some damage to my meniscus. I only waited a few weeks and the op went to plan. When I came round, all the pain from the damage was gone. It is wonderful to be out of pain after a long time. I would highly recommend Mr.Akrawi and his team. They are all very professional and caring. Thank you Mr. Akrawi for getting me back on track.
