I recently had knee surgery carried out by Dr Akwari
from my first out patient appointment with him to my surgery day I felt to be in safe hands
He seemed from first meeting very knowledgeable on the treatment and care I was going to receive , he went through everything and explained about the operation in detail but in a manner that I could understand
I am now 10 weeks post surgery and feeling really positive & well
A Big thank you to Dr Akwari and all his team , all the ward and nursing staff @ Chapel Allerton hospital who cared for me it was a positive experience especially in these challenging times

I recently had elbow surgery and upon meeting Mr Akwari just before it began i knew i was in safe hands. He was kind and gentle and made me feel instantly at ease. I did not know what to expect afterwards as i had never had bone surgery before and i have to say it has been so much easier recovering than i ever imagined and i am certain that this is due to the professionalism and excellent care which i received from Mr Akwari and his team.

Mr Akrawi was both efficient and speedy in making the assessment re my treatment. He the proceeded quickly to get me in for treatment. He was courteous and informative so I knew what to expect at each stage of my treatment in hospital and the following reviews. I am extremely please with the service I received.

Mr Akwari seems to be a very knowledgeable Doctor is his specified area of work, he listens to & most importantly acts on what you are telling him. I would highly reccomend him to any patient, family or friends. The level of care I received was second to none, thank you Mr Akwari!

I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty interest in Knee Reconstruction, Joint Preservation and knee Arthroplasty Surgery. I am British trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who completed advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine, Diseases of the knee and Joint Arthroplasty at the prestigious North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. During this year, I spent time gaining advanced training in performing a variety of reconstructive knee procedures under the tutelage of A/Prof Leo Pinczewski in one of the major orthopaedic and sports medicine practices in Australia.
My special expertise is in adult and paediatric ACL reconstruction, Patella instability, realignment (osteotomy) procedures around the knee, Cartilage Regeneration and sports knee injuries and robotic assisted replacement in young and active patients.
I am also passionate about trauma surgery, I have completed masters degree in trauma sciences and spent 6 years training in major trauma centres managing complex knee injuries.
