I had a problem of massive urine retention in my bladder.
Gidon Ellis performed a Holep on my prostrate which has totally relieved the problem.

Mr Ellis acted as senior consultant and surgeon in my case. When first admitted to hospital he quickly diagnosed my condition, closely monitored my progress to discharge and gave me the information i needed to understand what has happened and what needs to be done in the future. He came across as very professional and gave me confidence in his diagnosis.
He explained to me that the only real option for cure was the Holep procedure and arranged for surgery within 6 weeks of my out patient consultation.
He performed the surgery and it was successful.
I am very pleased with the outcome and appreciate his skill, professionalism and that i was able to have the procedure in a very timely manor.
He also listens to the patient and within obvious limits tailors his care according to the individuals needs and wishes so he has a practical approach to his treatment.
I am very glad I have him as my consultant and surgeon.

I had an appointment with Mr Ellis and found him very helpful, kind and very thorough. He explained what I needed to know and asked if there was anything else I wish to know. I have another appointment and although I’m a little worried about it, Mr Ellis put my mind at rest. So very important to have a care give listen and explain.

Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
He has a broad general urology practice with specialist interests in kidney stones, male lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and laser prostate surgery (HoLEP). He also specialises in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of urothelial cancers in the bladder and upper urinary tracts.
He is a core member of the bladder cancer, renal cancer and stone MDTs. He has served as faculty member on various national and international workshops and masterclasses in both stone management and HoLEP surgery.
