Mr Damir Kosutic MD PhD FRCS(Plast) Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

A truly wonderful and gifted surgeon with a compassionate demeanor. I cannot wholly express my appreciation in words but I am full of praise and admiration for such an honorable person who has looked after me so well. My chosen route to Mr Kosutic resulted in a smooth, positive plan of how we should proceed. Meticulous, precise, dedicated, attentive and respectful - it was easy to gain the confidence and trust to take the next quite overwhelming steps which were necessary. I have undergone three surgeries over several years, which I would say speaks volumes. My initial surgery removed a desmoid tumor (10+ cms) from my abdomen with reconstruction. This included an abdominal wall mesh repair to replace muscles lost to the tumor and a donated muscle from my right thigh, with blood supply still attached. This has provided additional strength due to the size of the defect. It sounds quite simple in a couple of sentences but it certainly wasn't. I don't know how he does what he does but, thank goodness he can! In awe! During my stay Mr Kosutic came to see me daily, checking my healing progress, asking how I was doing and this gave me the reassurance all was going to be ok in time. After such major surgery you need an empathetic and confident ear. Time has as everyone says been the best way to heal. I have had to find patience, as recovery has been difficult and lengthy. I am now able to return to exercise mostly as I did previously, just with a little more care and caution. I am a busy mum to two young children and I enjoy spinning and dressage. I have taken up pilates and regular massage to assist my body in being as strong as it can be, helping the changes made adapt. I have had excellent aftercare and my scars are healing beautifully. I will be forever thankful to such a talented, kind, caring gentleman committed to the very best outcome for his patients. I would always ask for his help if further surgery was required.

Dr Kosutic performed Migraine Surgery on me in July 2024. I was having 3-4 migraines per week and they were really affecting my way of life. Thankfully since the surgery I have only had 4 in 25 days, and these went away quickly with OTC pain medication. Would definitely recommend this Dr and procedure to anyone suffering with migraines. I had tried the pain medication, triptans and other methods of controlling the pain however this surgery so far seems to have reduced the effect migraines have on my life. The scars are also almost invisible, being a plastic surgeon Dr Kosutic is very skilled at ensuring the scars do not affect your appearance. Having had the surgery I would be happy to speak to others about their concerns as I could not recommend this procedure and Dr Kosutic enough!

Mr kosutic performed a diep flap left breast reconstruction with double pedicle for me in 2018. And at the same time completed a lymph node transfer to my left arm which eliminated the lymphodeama in my left arm.  He has since carried out a number of liposuction procedures to transfer fat to the new breast to achieve symmetry with my right breast. All of these procedures have been carried out with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy,  always taking into account what was important to me. Mr Kosutic is a very approachable, kind and genuine person who always puts the needs and desires of his patient at the heart of his service. A truely talented surgeon

I had the migraine surgery performed by Dr. Kosutic last year while I was going through IVF treatment. I was trying to have a baby but the treatment was causing me so tremendous migraines and having the surgery was my last option. After a year later and a two-months old baby I can say that the migraine surgery performed by Dr Kosutic was the best decision I’ve ever made. I got my life back and now I don’t know anymore what migraines are. Only sometimes I get very mild headaches that will pass after an hour. I couldn’t be more thankful to Dr Kosutic .

I recently completed successful Liposuction surgery for Lymphedema with Mr Kosutic, and I couldn’t be more pleased. When I first met him, I’d been living with increasingly problematic Upper Extremity Lymphedema as a result of having Non Hodgkin lymphoma. Despite good therapy and self-care, my quality of life was going downhill, it was clear that the discomfort and infection risks would never improve with standard treatment, but would only deteriorate further. So, when I learned from Instagram about Mr Kosutic reputation and amazing work, I scheduled a consultation. Mr Koustic struck me as competent and caring from the moment I met him. Best of all, he wanted to be very clear on my history and present condition, and then objectively determine whether or not I was a candidate for surgical treatment. And he wanted me to understand the treatments he specializes in. After tests determined that I was not a successful candidate for Microsurgery, but was for a Lymph Node Transfer and Liposuction, I underwent Liposuction, with life-changing results. My risk of infection is virtually gone, I’m comfortable and a lot more confident. My affected arm was 30% bigger before surgery and is now only 3% bigger at just 3 months post op! Each one of these is a gift I never thought was possible. Mr Kosutic is passionate about what he does and works so hard for his patients. I am grateful that Mr Kosutic is very active and eager to continue developing this exciting field of medicine. And on top of that he is a really good human being. I can never adequately thank him for the difference he has made to my life. I’m proud to call him my doctor – my favorite doctor

Amazing Surgeon/ Consultant This guy was amazing from start to finish , very informative and reassuring during initial consultation and amazing surgery techniques which I have been complemented on when pointed out. Full neck dissection which minimal scars. Plus very nice guy to boot

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mr Kosutic for the excellent work he did on my lip. It is now virtually fully healed and practically invisible. The experience from the initial consultation to the procedure and after care has been exceptional, all the staff were friendly and professional, I would recommend Mr Kosutic and the team to anybody considering have surgery undertaken.

I have recently attended my post-operative appointment, following the second stage of my breast reconstruction surgery. Throughout the whole process, from initial consultations, two surgeries and post-operative checks, Mr Kosutic has been amazing. A genuinely, kind and caring man. He explained the details of the surgeries in a clear, informative and professional way. He is very patient focused, always listening to your concerns and opinions. Full patient/consultant dialogue is always present at his consultations. I am very happy with my DIEP reconstruction and follow up mastopexy. Following my vascularized lymph node transfer, my lymphoedema has improved significantly, to the extent that I no longer wear a compression sleeve. I have increased nerve sensation in my right arm and the peripheral neuropathy in my fingertips is resolved. Mr Kosutic is a gifted surgeon, fully committed to the best outcome for his patients. Outcomes that are always mutually agreed. Huge credit should also go, of course, to his surgical and nursing team, who are also incredible.

A really excellent Dr. Very professional he removed a melanoma from my leg, which could have been a big problem as near to my knee. He did the operation so well that it's hard to tell, the profile of my leg is perfect. Amazing. But he's not only a very gifted surgeon, he is also a very nice and gifted Dr. He listens to you, spends time with you to help you make informed decisions. I am now 6years post surgery and I can't thank him and his team enough.
