Dr William Croxford

Dr. Croxford explains things very clearly, checking regularly for understanding. He is able to develop rapport so that he can pitch his comments at the right level.

Dr Croxford cared for my relative at the Christie hospital, I stayed with my family member during consultations & treatments and I had to find a way to write about how wonderful he is! I was probably more anxious then my dad throughout the entire process, and I felt so bad as sometimes I felt that I was taking the attention away from my dad with all my questions. I don't know what it is about Dr Croxford, but he is so calming and reassuring, which wasn't what I expected from such an intelligent oncologist. The most amazing thing was when he remembered both of our names in the glass corridor once, I can't imagine how many patients he see's every day - but it made us feel so special that he remembered our names. He explained everything so well, and didn't seem annoyed when we asked the same questions (I would be annoyed if it was me!) It just really felt like he understood our anxieties during that awful, stressful time. He made a painful situation so much better for us, I can see why he is a consultant at the Christie - I hear they only hire the best! Thank you Dr Croxford, from the bottom of all of our hearts.

Saw Dr Croxford and he was very pleasant, informative about my latest PSA results and what the next treatment would be. We felt total trust in him and liked his professional and polite manner. We came out of the clinic appointment very positive and calm thanks to the way he dealt with us. We liked him very much.

Dr Croxford was great from the minute he entered the consulting room. He introduced himself to us and verified who I was and who was with me. He was thorough in his questioning and his explanation of my situation and always gave me the opportunity to ask questions relating to the treatment he was describing. He was knowledgeable in his subject and gave me confidence in his ability to treat me.

The consultation with the Doctor was very good and he answered all my question and made me feel confident about the trial drug programme. The parking at Preston Hospital is a big issue regarding location, price and availability so any improvement would ease the patients stress.
