Thank you Ben, for the Inguinal hernia repair done on the 31st July 2019. I am very happy to submit this short feedback in acknowledgement of your exceptional attentive and caring manner. From the first interview/examination your assessment and advice were both informative and reassuring. On the day of the operation all was comforting and supportive from start to finish. My time with the Theatre Team was brief but relaxing. Home the same day to a very happy family. Please thank your team both on the Ward and in Theatre, for their attention and care.

Within six weeks of a diagnosis of rectal carcinoma, my abdo-perineal resection with a permanent colostomy was completed. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Mr Benjamin Hornung for this surgery. Upon first meeting, he was able to clearly communicate all aspects of my diagnosis at a level that I was able to easily understand. Considering the shock of the diagnosis, he made me and my family feel completely reassured and safe in his hands. He took plenty of time to explain how and why he was going to perform the surgery. Post-operatively, my recovery was amazing, due to his outstanding surgical skills. Thank you Mr Hornung, on behalf of myself and my family - you have saved my life.

A proficient surgeon who clearly explains all aspects of surgery and aftercare. Incredibly easy to talk to in a relaxed and informal manner. After major surgery I was out of hospital two days later where there have been no complications and my recovery quicker than expected. I would not hesitate to recommend Benjamin to anyone considering surgery or other procedures that are required.

On the 16th May 2019 I had an elective lap sigmoid colectomy for sigmoid cancer at the MRI Hospital conducted by Dr Benjamin Hornung. This was the second time I had been diagnosed with cancer. Dr Hornung's manner when he first visited me to tell me I had a tumour was very caring and positive which helped me to feel that way too. The care and attention I received from Dr Hornung from first diagnosis to leaving hospital after my operation was above and beyond. He definitely goes the extra mile and has a very natural ability to communicate with patients on their level. I'd also like to mention ALL his team including Deborah Hitchen his cancer nurse as I was looked after so well. Thank you. Mrs Ann Smith
