A proficient surgeon who clearly explains all aspects of surgery and aftercare. Incredibly easy to talk to in a relaxed and informal manner. After major surgery I was out of hospital two days later where there have been no complications and my recovery quicker than expected. I would not hesitate to recommend Benjamin to anyone considering surgery or other procedures that are required.

On the 16th May 2019 I had an elective lap sigmoid colectomy for sigmoid cancer at the MRI Hospital conducted by Dr Benjamin Hornung. This was the second time I had been diagnosed with cancer. Dr Hornung's manner when he first visited me to tell me I had a tumour was very caring and positive which helped me to feel that way too. The care and attention I received from Dr Hornung from first diagnosis to leaving hospital after my operation was above and beyond. He definitely goes the extra mile and has a very natural ability to communicate with patients on their level. I'd also like to mention ALL his team including Deborah Hitchen his cancer nurse as I was looked after so well. Thank you. Mrs Ann Smith

Very pleased with my bowel surgery and the result. I am recovering and eating well with no discomfort after 9 weeks. I was offered a 3 month course of chemotherapy at The Christie and this is going very well . Deborah Hitchen specialist nurse on the team giving reassuring answers to any questions I may have had. My stay at MRI very good , helpful and caring staff .

I was treated with the utmost care and attention throughout my treatment by Mr Hornung. He explained everything about my operation and i felt completely at ease throughout the whole procedure.
