My experience under the care of Mr Andrew Pickersgill has been exceptional. Throughout the process of my hysterectomy and endometriosis excision he demonstrated professionalism, clarity, and a level of compassion that provided immense reassurance during a very challenging period in my life. Anyone living with endometriosis will understand the constant worry about whether clinicians will truly listen, believe your symptoms, or understand the impact the condition has on every aspect of daily life. From my very first appointment, Mr Pickersgill alleviated those fears. He listened carefully, never dismissed my concerns, and ensured I felt heard. His calm, measured approach gave me confidence and trust in a way I had not experienced before. Following my surgery, he came to see me late in the evening to explain the outcome in detail and answer my questions, for which I am grateful. The results of the surgery have been life-changing. Although the diagnosis of endometriosis still weighs heavily on me, I am no longer living with debilitating pain and disruptive periods that once dictated my life. My quality of life has improved significantly, although after over 20 years of pain, living without it is something I am still adjusting to. Mr Pickersgill is an outstanding surgeon whose clinical expertise is matched by his compassion and integrity. I offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care he provided and the difference he has made to my life. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone requiring treatment for endometriosis or complex gynaecological conditions.

I think the all the other reviews speak for themselves about Mr Pickersgill, there is nothing but positive words I can say about him or his excellent care I can only speak for myself but I gather that whatever issue you have Mr Pickersgill will give everyone the same amount of patience , empathy and care whether your medical problem is minor or not Gynaecological issues are sometimes a sensitive, private issue for women and to have someone who takes the time to listen & who never dismisses your worries and are as kind & empathetic as Mr Pickergill is very reassuring and comforting , we are very lucky to have him working as a gynaecologist at the top of his field. I cannot recommend Mr Pickersgill highly enough and I hope he continues to work in gynaecology for a long time to come

After getting nowhere with my GP for so long, I bit the bullet and booked a consultation with Mr. Pickersgill. I've never used private services before, but I was desperate. The second I told Mr. Pickersgill of my symptoms and issues with my periods, he validated what I had been feeling and confirmed from the scans I'd already had done what my issue was - this was a relief after being dismissed for so long and feeling like I was being dramatic. He was really kind in the consultation and went into great detail of what was happening in my womb and explained how that was causing my heavy and painful periods... he told me I certainly wasn't being dramatic! It was a relief just to be taken seriously! I booked in privately with Mr. Pickersgill at the earliest opportunity to have the procedure to remove the fibroids, and the service I received from the Spire Regency Hospital, the staff there, Mr. Pickersgill's secretary, and, of course Mr. Pickersgill has been second to none. Everyone has been so nice and kind, and my whole experience has been efficient, quick and professional. I felt like a human again!! I have since recovered from my surgery and am so relieved with the results... a complete change. I would highly recommend seeing Mr. Pickersgill for a consultation if you are struggling... I am very grateful to him, his team and the Spire Regency hospital. Thank you!

I’ve been struggling with pelvic, back and leg pain for years. Multiple trips to my GP, A&E, other gynaecologists and have unfortunately been dismissed multiple times. I had started to believe that perhaps I was just anxious and weak for feeling pain with no clear cause. The last few months I pushed for help as my symptoms were getting worse and I have been struggling to walk up the stairs properly. I asked the NHS for a scan because something wasn’t right. It was denied so I went to see Dr Pickersgill at The Spire. He listened to me and organised exploratory imaging which revealed the cause of my pain. He was kind, caring and so empathetic- I feel validated for the first time. Although my treatment plan is limited for the time being I feel so reassured that there is someone I can go and see when I’ll need further help. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Care, safety and compassion makes such a difference as a patient and with Andy it’s guaranteed.

I had a laparoscopy for stage 4 endometriosis in November under Mr Andy Pickersgill, and the experience has been genuinely life-changing. Before the procedure, my periods were extremely painful and heavy, to the point where they significantly impacted my day-to-day life. Since the surgery, with all the endometriosis excised, both the pain and heaviness have improved dramatically, along with several other symptoms. Andy has a very gentle and reassuring bedside manner, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. He was always happy to answer any questions and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped ease my worries beforehand. Thanks to the surgery and the care I received, I now feel like I’m living a normal life again without the constant worry of pain each month. I’m incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Mr Pickersgill to anyone going through something similar. I hope I won’t need further surgery, but if I ever do, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to him.

Mr Pickersgill took the time to listen and was very approachable. He has great expertise in laparaoscopy, which was why I chose him originally, and I was glad I did. My operation went smoothly and I'm making a good recovery.

I have been under Mr Pickersgill's care for the past 18 months, during which time I have had a hysterectomy alongside a prolapse repair and a further prolapse repair a year later all at The Regency Hospital , Macclesfield . Mr Pickersgill is a very approachable consultant who listens to your concerns and does not rush you if you have any questions. I always felt very reassured by Mr Pickersgill and he explained everything thoroughly. He has recently discharged me from his care but assured me that if I had any further problems in the future I was not to hesitate to contact him in the future. Thank you. I would certainly recommend Mr Pickersgill.

Honestly so thankful to Dr pickersgill. He has known of my endometriosis etc for years and I have also had countless other appointments with other doctors but no one has been as amazing and as sympathetic as him. I had recently been referred for a hysteroscopy and having never heard of it before I was very anxious so booked a consultation with Dr pickersgill at the Manchester spire hospital. From the second I walked into my consultation I felt at ease. I have now recovered well and honestly couldn’t be more happy with the care I have received. The best doctor ever.
