I have been a patient of Dr Ram's since my AIH diagnosis in 2015. He is an exceptional doctor. I feel blessed.

Dr Ram was introduced to me by my GP. I saw him extremely promptly and he made me feel so at ease from the moment I met him. Not just professional but totally down to earth - someone who I knew I was going to get along with. I had had problems in my stomach area for quite some years and had been under a previous gastroenterologist but nothing was ever diagnosed. Dr Ram was extremely thorough. I had CT scan and an MRI scan and then had an endoscopy and gastroscope procedures. After having the CT scan this showed up a potential problem area. It meant having an MRI scan pretty quickly to determine the problem. Obviously during that time I was very very concerned as the outcome could of been not good and unfortunately I had to wait over the weekend period. He rang me several times putting me at ease. He arranged the MRI scan on the Monday and rang me personally as soon as he received the result. Fortunately everything was good for me. He asked me to come into see him the next day and he would then go through the scans with me. Nothing is ever too much trouble. He is so approachable and professional and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I have to say he is definitely the best doctor I have ever met. He puts his patients first above anything else. Dr Ram you are a star.

I was under the care of Dr Ramakrishnan for 13 months with an unexplained stomach bloating problem. I had previously been seeking help from my NHS doctor but had never felt that my issues were being taken seriously and I was becoming frustrated with the amount of time I was having to wait for tests be done. After 6 months and being no further on I sought the help of Dr Ramakrishan under my private medical insurance cover after he was highly recommended to me by personal friend. I cannot express the weight I felt had been lifted just from our initial consultation. For the first time I felt like someone had actually listened to me, didn’t make me feel as if “I was being silly”. Dr Ram always explained everything fully to me in easy to understand terms, verbally, through sketched drawinging, or by taking the time to show me the images from the tests I’d had done to assist in my understanding of how and why. He always made me feel completely at ease. He was extremely thorough and never gave up, always suggesting the next thing we try to find out what was causing my problems. I am 100% satisfied with care I received from him and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Following many years of suffering from Chrohn's disease, with little help from other professionals, i was left in a hopeless position. However, my life was turned around by the help, care and consideration shown by Dr Ramikrishnan. He is clearly an expert in his field but more importantly, he cares passionately about his patients. In short, he saved my life and for this reason, I have the utmost respect for him. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me, the difference he has made to my life and that of my family and the care he continues to show. Thank you Ram, from the bottom of my heart. Dr Ram is open and honest and importantly he is pragmatic to the realities of the situation - he does not sugar coat things but at the same time does so in an understanding way. He gives you options, explains your options and then explains the potential consequences either way - both good and bad. Always spends a little time making sure the rest of your life is progressing well and gives you a little on himself too - its a relationship and can make you feel more comfortable.
