I have been practising as a Consultant Gastroenterologist since 2007 and have a specialist interest in all aspects of endoscopy, gastroenterology, liver and pancreatic disease. I have a keen interest in service development, teaching and training. As endoscopy lead I established a brand new three room endoscopy unit at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and led the team to achieve national accreditation (JAG) in 2009. I am now the lead for the Endoscopy Unit at Spire Cheshire Hospital and In this role led the team in this hospital to achieve national accreditation (JAG) in 2016. I have been the lead for Advancing Quality programme (AQuA) for the Trust and have participated actively in achieving a high quality of care across both medical and surgical divisions of the hospital. As the joint lead for management of alcohol related liver disease for the AQuA programme I have streamlined guidelines for evidence based high quality management of this condition. Dr Ram took time to listen extensively to all of the related issues regarding my condition before suggesting any treatment. The procedure undertaken was well managed by him and his team and the follow up consultation was detailed, informative and extremely reassuring. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Ram as a considerate and highly capable health care professional.

I have consulted Dr Ramakrishnan a number of times during the last two years for help with a bowel condition which has started to cause problems again after being well controlled for twenty years. Dr Ramakrishnan has always listened to my concerns, and has instigated appropriate investigations which have provided reassurance and an informed basis for the ongoing management of my condition. Above all he has always treated me as an intelligent individual who is capable of understanding the medical details rather than as a body with a problem which requires unquestioning treatment. I have much appreciated his very human and down-to-earth approach.

A very kind and thoughtful gentleman. He was most understanding of a previous poor experience elsewhere. He explained everything with great care and in detail. I felt totally confident about the procedure with him. I am delighted to have him looking after me.

Dr Ramakrishnan has been treating me for Crohn's and I have always found him to be competent and totally professional. He is so understanding and an excellent communicator and listener. He explains things very clearly both orally and in written form. I have every confidence in him.

Dr Ram was superb. I was incredibly anxious having had a complicated and difficult 12 months medically. He was so understanding, calming and reassuring. I am so grateful and would highly recommend.

Dr Ramakrishnan looked after me in 2018, so when I recently became poorly I knew I had to get back in front of him. I didn't want to see anyone else. His calm but informative bedside manner, his explanations, and just his caring manner, make you feel at ease. very professional and highly recommended.

I had been having GI issues for a while and was on the urgent waiting list to see a consultant on the NHS. After being told there was a 10-week delay for the urgent waiting list I decided to see Dr. Ram privately. It was the best decision I could have made. Dr. Ram is extremely caring and really listens to your issues and concerns. He even managed to fit me in for the procedure just 3 days after my initial consultation. The procedure went flawlessly, Dr. Ram was able to give me an initial diagnosis and start me on a treatment plan right after the procedure. After a follow-up appointment a couple of weeks later Dr. Ram started me on my maintenance medicines. He then went above and beyond, sending the reports and a recommendation letter to both my GP and NHS hospital. I would highly recommend Dr. Ram to anyone who might be having GI issues. Thank you, Dr. Ram!

My wife recommended me to see Dr Ram as she saw him a few years ago and was full of praise for him. Dr Ram was really nice, listened to what I said to say, passed no judgement and gave me positive suggestions of next steps to investigate my issue. He advised me to have a couple of procedures that I really did not want to have but he reassured me he would look after me. Dr Ram carried out the procedures a few weeks later and he did them without the discomfort I was anticipating. At my review meeting he was very reassuring and gave me some great advice. I would certainly recommend Dr Ram as a first choice consultant if you are having any gastro issues. Thank You Dr Ram.
