I was very nervous about this procedure and Dr Kandikattu, checked with me constantly as to my pain levels and comfort. He stopped when the pain was too much and allowed me to take a breath and regroup ready for him to proceed again. Very highly recommend. Thank you.

Dr Kandikattu made me feel at ease and through every stage of the operation I was aware of what was going on. Cannot praise him enough for his treatment - excellent. The Theatre Staff and Support staff were excellent and took all the precautions necessary during this Coronavirus.

I can’t praise Dr Kandikattu enough. This is the third time I have had treatment and with my hand on my heart I can say that he has been brilliant, very sympathetic and has a very caring manner. All through my procedure he continued to ask if I was ok. I felt totally at ease although initially I was a little nervous.

Dr Kandikattu is one of the few pain medicine consultants in East Anglia to have gained certification in the Fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP). He uses the biopsychosocial model of pain to offer modern assessment and management of his patients’ pain at the Peterborough City & Stamford Hospital, Fitzwilliam and Boston West and Clementine Churchill Hospitals.

Dr Kandikattu offers comprehensive pain management to people suffering from chronic pain from their head to their toes including: cancer, musculoskeletal and spinal (neck, chest, lower back, sciatica), neuropathic, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches and persistent post-surgical pain.
He performs a full range of pain interventions including epidurals, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency denervations, most of which are image-guided using x-ray or ultrasound guidance. He is also an expert in treating acute pain and inpatient pain management.
He offers outpatient appointments and inpatient care for pain management intervention at the Fitzwilliam and Boston West Hospitals. Patients struggling with chronic post-operative pain may need further pain management to relieve their discomfort and Dr Kandikattu can offer a back-up service for them too.
