Dr Nigel Burrows

Dr Burrows took time to explain the importance of mole checking, and exactly what to look for, whilst performing a full body check. He then very kindly gave me some references for further reading. He is very attentive, kind and pragmatic in his approach. Excellent bedside manner. I would highly recommend him as a dermatology consultant and I will certainly be going back to see him again for future checks.

Dr Nigel Burrows is excellent in terms of both clinical competence and patient care. Rarely do you find both together. I have been under his care for numerous years as I have a family history of melanoma, during which time he has removed a number of lesions, so I have experience of his surgical skills too. He is extremely skilled, careful, clear about his recommendations, takes time to build rapport with patients and competent in communicating complex information simply. He is a great person and a trusted doctor and advocate for his patients' health.

I have been a patient of Dr Burrows for the last 14 years. I sought him out initially because I go to Australia regularly and wanted a total body check for skin cancer. I am extremely grateful to him for detecting,on my first visit,a melanoma-in-situ of which I was completely unaware . He cut it out within a couple of weeks,and confirmed that the problem had been dealt with. I choose to see him annually for a full body skin check,and he has advised on and treated a number of benign issues over the years. He knows his patients well and it's always a pleasure seeing him. We have built up a rapport.I trust his clinical judgement totally. Between annual visits he has also been extremely kind in looking at photographs of an small area of skin he'd already treated,and re-assuring me that it was not cause for concern.This was done via his excellent secretary and by email. It was very good of him and I appreciated it.

I visited Dr.Burrows two days ago and was most most impressed by his care and professional courtesy. He took time to discuss my concerns and then spent considerable time examining me. I shall be returning to Dr. Burrows in a year or so for a check up and would recommend him unreservedly.

Dr Burrows was thorough and careful to explain the difference between two skin issues that present in a similar way. He listened to my concerns carefully and diagnosed my skin condition, giving me a good understanding of it. He was reassuring and offered options for how to progress. He is highly skilled, very professional and has a lovely manner.

Dr Burrows is my first port of call when a suspicious mole or raised mark appears on my skin. Not only is he the ultimate professional who I trust implicitly but also extremely knowledgeable.

Dr Borrows is naturally friendly and his treatments have been very effective. Also his active involvement of other professionals and onward referrals are appropriated. Only issue is long appointment waiting time (probably this review will serve to exacerbate it even further :-)
