Very very poor. Did not listen to my wife with her UC problems. Always trying to pass the buck. She is supposed to be our first contact with the hospital but we've had to frequently go to the specialist direct.
As there is a shortage of specialist IBD nurses she wields too much power. When my wife was first diagnosed with UC back in 2015 she was very unhelpful and she said you can't see the specialist for 3 months. Great when you are constantly bleeding.
Saw Gini in clinic today. She took time to explain the various options available for my future treatment. She listened and responded to my concerns and answered all my questions. Thanks you.
Does not answer questions. Does not listen. Discounts what is said including being told continue to take a drug I reacted badly to. Support level was zero. This is a culmination of experience with this nurse. Terrible terrible.
As always Gini got back to me with solid advice. It is reassuring to know that she is at the end of the phone or will reply to an email. She explains treatment options in a manner which is easy to understand. ‘

Gini is a wonderful nurse, the best! She is always available and has gone above and beyond to reassure me when needed and to help me through one time in particular when I got admitted to hospital overnight due to a side affect of my medication - my whole family was so grateful at how much she went out of her way to make sure I was ok and well looked after. She really listens ro her patient and puts no pressure on you at all, making it so easy to trust her. I wouldn't want to see any other nurse regarding my crohns disease after how amazing she has been, she's a real credit to the NHS! - Seema x
