I saw Mr Dubey when I had severe leg pain due to trapped nerves. I am also being treated for secondary breast cancer. Mr Dubey took everything into consideration, explaining everything and putting me at ease. A few weeks later I had surgery. It has been successful and has improved my quality of life immeasurably. I can’t speak highly enough of Mr Dubey.

Mr Dubey is very pleasant and easy to talk to - understood my concerns about on going back pain following fractures of my spine. He set out a plan to try to address the pain and referred me to physio services. In the long term if improvements are not seen he recommended a referral to pain management for injections. He wrote a letter to my Doctor detailing everything he had discussed with me. Very happy to have Mr Dubey as my consultant.

From the first meeting and to subsequent meetings Mr Dubey very personable and friendly. A good communicator and very informative about my situation and the outcome should I choose to go ahead with surgery. I did choose to have the surgery and was very pleased at the outcome. For me I cannot think of anything that would have improved my care or experience. First class all round.

I was seen by this surgeon by referral from my GP who said that there maybe a chance that they could improve my wellbeing. I met with Mr Dubey who with consultation from other departments made an assessment of my condition and after several meetings decided that there was a possibility of improving my current health. It was at the last meeting he explained to me in detail what he was going to do and how he was going to do it with x ray and scan and a skeletal part of the spine. It was refreshing to hear a professional explain a complex procedure to an ordinary person in a manner that was kind compassionate, understanding. To me this was such an important part of the treatment as previously I was left with a lot of questions and no answers with the parting quip of : what do you want me to do about it : Thankfully Mr Dubey has a completely different attitude and approach to his patients, honesty is another strong point. I can only hope that hospital management realise this and bestow on him there support and confidence to this fine surgeon. Regards James
