I made an appointment through the national contact line to take my mother to Boots Opticians in Wimborne. When we got to the opticians on the due day and time, we were told that the appointment had not been made with the branch. Due to work commitments, I had made the appointment specifically on a day when I was able to take my mother. She is only able to walk short distances with the help of a walking stick, and needs to use a wheelchair for longer distances, for example from the car park to the opticians. The optometrist, Gill, and dispenser, Roney, at the Wimborne branch were very helpful, could see the situation my mother and I were in, and did not hesitate to slot us in to their schedule. My mother and I are both extremely grateful for their assistance. The moral of this story is: Always book your appointment direct with the branch. I will certainly do so in future.
