I have had some less-than-satisfactory experiences in the past with this branch of Boots Opticians, especially concerning the difficulty contacting people on the phone, and waiting times for pre-booked appointments. My recent experience was much improved. I was met by a very pleasant young lady on reception who quickly got me booked into the system and showed me to a seat, asking me to wait for someone to do some preliminary tests, and to take some personal details. I settled down with a magazine, expecting a long wait, but was seen within a couple of minutes. The tests were done efficiently, and the lady doing them was very professional, and reassuring throughout. The optometrist was also very professional and answered my questions clearly. He made several recommendations which I had not previously considered. I was then introduced to Tracey, who quickly understood my needs, and helped me in the process of selecting the specific glasses I needed. She led me through the whole process of frame and lens selection very effectively, and although I ended up spending far more than I had originally intended, I didn't feel at all pressurised. I left feeling that I had been dealt with in a very professional way, and I would now recommend anyone to use the branch.

Good reception, friendly service. Optometrist had to stop at 1 point because she had forgotten something, left alone for a couple of minutes but she did apologise. Also consultation interrupted by a query concerning another patient recently seen. Log jam at the machines so had to go back to waiting area for a short time. Optometrist very clear with her findings and recommendations.

All great apart from the small choice in frames, we will go to a different store to choose my daughters glasses as the ladies range was very disappointing
