A young man, whose name I forget, helped both my daughter and me choose our glasses. He was extremely efficient, friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping us. It was nice to have someone who also seemed up to date with trends and fashion and didn't just nod enthusiastically at every pair I tried on. Felt I was getting a truthful opinion and that really helped in choosing the right pair for my face shape etc.
My only complaint about the visit was the length of time it took for both me and my daughter to see the optician. After the initial screening we waited over an hour to see the optician. It was really hot inside the building and there was no refreshment eg a water cooler and dispenser.
The optometrist was Steve Gingell (not the woman I had before) and he was very good. Some of the tests done by other staff like the field of vision test seemed a little rushed. They were quite busy.
There was no provision made for children. The optician said he really should be able to c that at his age but the test says he doesn't need a prescription. Maybe come back in 6months. Very unhelpful
The Optimetrist made me feel at ease by explaining each step of the process
patent. explained everything
